Emergency Vents

For protection against fire exposure and vacuum relief

Emission control and safety equipment for low pressure

storage tanks
DESCRIPTION
Due to the great risk involved in storing combustible
liquids, new safety standards have been implemented
that include devices to protect investment, life and
care for the environment.

In the event of a fire on the outside of a storage tank,

this instrument will act as a safety valve, relieving
excess pressure inside the tank and eliminating the
possibility of an explosion.

It works when there is overpressure inside or a fire

occurs on the outside of the tank. The fire causes a
rapid release of vapors that would normally create an
explosion in the tank, but this is avoided thanks to the
vent reducing the pressure of the vapors to a level
that has been calculated in advance.
