How do you read and write the number 64 821 in words and in
symbol? Read and write whole numbers by period starting form the left.
Leave a space between periods when writing millions in standard form.
The number 64 821 is read as “sixty-four thousand eight hundred Use a comma (,) between periods (ten thousand and up) when writing
twenty-one.” In symbols, it is 64 821. numbers in words. If all the three digits in a period are zeros, do not
write nor read the period name.
