TOOL SYSTEM FEATURES AND BENEFITS

All Comato systems have principally the same design, consisting of toolholder, insert, clamp and support blade. This set-up gives the
user large possibilities in different applications as parting-off, side turning, face-grooving and threading in a wide range of groove
widths, depths and diameters with the same toolholder, by only changing clamp, support blade and insert.
This makes Comato the most versatile and economic system available on the market.

Very suitable as allround grade due to the tough substrate and
P30F the wear-resistant coating. The special coating reduces loose-
- edge buildup and is especially fit for machining martensitic P30F/C
and austenitic stainless steels.
P30C
This is a general grade for malleable, nodular and grey cast
K10F iron and high temperature, high strength alloys.
- K10C has a titanium carbide coating over a substrate with
excellent abrasion resistance and high toughness.
K10F/C
K10C
This grade is intended for severe applications at relatively low
cutting speeds on plain carbon, alloys, steels and stainless
P30 steels. P30
P30 has excellent resistance to breakage and
thermo-mechanical shock.
A grade particular suitable for grooving operations on nodular,
malleable and grey cast iron and high temperature alloys.
K10 K10 has excellent abrasion resistance, good toughness and is K10
very good resistance to thermal shock.
