Crochet Pink Rose Flower Pattern

Here are the some instructions that I think you need to know before you start
working on the
pattern.

Materials:
2.5mm hook/C-2 (US)
Yarn: 4ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted in GREEN and RED.
Wire with a thickness of 1.0 mm and wire with a thickness of 3.0 mm to
make the branches and fringe of the tree.
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Polyester toy stuffing
Stitch marker (optional)

Terminology
US terminology
Stitches and Abbreviation
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dec: decrease
inc: increase
dc: double crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dtr: double treble crochet
inc hdc: 2 hdc into 1st
inc dc: 2 dc into 1st
inc3dtr: 3 dtr into 1st
sc3tog: single crochet 3 stitches together
dc2tog: double crochet 2 stitches together
hdc2tog: half double crochet 2 stitches together
BLO: Back Loop Only
FLO: Front Loop Only
sk: skip
MR: magic ring
R: round/row
[ ] indicate the number of stitches you should have after each round.
(..) repeat the space in brackets the given number of times

Note:
Since shaping the petals and branches is necessary, you will add 1.0 mm wire to all
petals and leaves, then use 3.0 mm wire for the flower stem. This will not be repeated
in the following patterns to save time. Thank you!
SMALL PETAL (x4):
R1: MR 10 hdc
R2: 10 inc hdc [20]
R3: (sc, inc sc) x 10 [30]
R3: 9 sc, (2 hdc, inc hdc) x 4, 9 sc [34]
Cut the yarn, fasten off.

MEDIUM PETAL (x4):


R1: MR 10 dc
R2: (2 dc into 1 st) x 10 [20]
R3: (hdc, inc hdc) x 10 [30]
R4: 9 sc, (inc dc, dc) x 3, 1 ch, (dc, inc dc) x 3, 9 sc [36]
Cut the yarn, fasten off.

LARGE PETAL (x5):


R1: MR 10 dc
R2: (2 dc into 1 st) x 10 [20]
R3: (hdc, inc hdc) x 10 [30]
R4: (5 sc, inc) x 5 [35]
R5: 10 sc; {(hdc, ch, hdc) into 1 st; (dc, ch, dc) into 1 st} x 15; 10 sc
Cut the yarn, fasten off.

CALYX:
R1: MR 10 dc
R2: (2 dc into 1 st) x 10 [20]
R3: (9 ch, Crochet from the second stitch
of the chain: 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr; skip 3) x 5
Cut the yarn, fasten off.

LEAF (x3):
R1: 11 ch and work in a continuous spiral around both sides of the chain
Starting in the second chain from hook: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 6 dc, 1 hdc, 3 sc into 1 st, 1 hdc,
6 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc [21]
R2: (sc, 1 ch) x 10, (sc, 1 ch, sc) into 1 st, (sc, 1 ch) x 10
Leave long end for sewing, fasten off.
Roll the core petals into a small round shape. Use hot glue to secure them in
place to maintain the shape.

Gradually attach the petals starting from the smallest petals, then moving on to
the medium-sized petals and finally the large petals.

Note: Rotate the hooked part of the ring to the bottom. Attach the petals close
together to make the flower look neat and beautiful.

Coil the wire into a circular shape, then place it between the calyx and the
flower (as shown in the daisy illustration), and attach the calyx to the flower.

Insert wire into the stem of the leaf, leaving a section of wire exposed.

Wrap the remaining yarn from the leaf around the wire.

Use yarn to wrap around the flower stem, then attach the leaf to the stem.
