MATHEMATICS PROJECT (for Std-12)

POINTS : ( 10 POINTS )
The project must be handwritten.
Submit on or before 25th June 2025
Transparent channel file has to be used.
You have to make a project on any one topic in section-A and one project on either section-B or C .
Number of pages should be 10.
MARKS ALLOCATION FOR EACH PROJECT [ 10 marks ]
Overall format : 1 mark
Concept : 4 marks
Findings : 2 marks
Viva-voce based on the project : 3 marks
Total : 10 marks
List of suggested assignments for Project Work :

Section– A
1. Explore the principal value of the function sin-1 x (or any other inverse trigonometric
function) using a unit circle.
2. Verify the consistency of the system of three linear equations of two variables and verify
the same graphically. Give its geometrical interpretation.
Section– B
1. Using Vector algebra, find the area of a parallelogram/triangle. Also, derive the area
analytically and verify the same.
2. Find the area bounded by a parabola and an oblique line.
Section– C
1. Draw a rough sketch of Cost (C), Average Cost (AC) and Marginal Cost (MC)
Or
Revenue (R), Average Revenue (AR) and Marginal Revenue (MR).
Give their mathematical interpretation using the concept of increasing - decreasing
functions and maxima-minima.
2. For a given data, find regression equations by the method of least squares. Also find angles
between regression lines.

The sequences of the pages in the project is as follows :


1. Cover page : It includes the name of the school, names of the persons whom the project is
submitted to and submitted by.
2. Index Page : It includes the indexing of the project with the page numbers.
( The page numbers start from title page of the project.)
3. Title of the project : It is the page containing the title or name of the project.
4. Aims and observations : Aims define the broader aspect of the student learning from the
project while Objectives define how the students will achieve the project.
5. Previous knowledge : It is the required knowledge that the student must know to complete
the project.
6. Content : It includes the detailed explanation of the project with suitable illustrations.
Students should use different methods whatever applicable like Graphical Methods,
Venn Diagrams, Mappings, Algebraic Methods, Proofs, and Deviations etc .
7. Conclusion : It includes the findings of the project.
(STEPS 3 TO 7 WILL REPEAT FOR THE SECOND PROJECT)
8. Acknowledgement : It includes to whom the student wants to thank for guidance and
help in completing the project.
9. Bibliography : It includes the references from where the student has taken any idea or part of
content in completing the project to avoid any copyright problem.
