MÉXICO

1.Flag:The Mexican flag, officially called the flag of the United Mexican States, is
one of the three national symbols established by Mexican law.
The flag has three colors: the green on the right symbolizes hope, the white in the
middle symbolizes peace, and the red on the right represents the blood shed by
soldiers in war.
The Mexican flag also has a sacred eagle hunting a serpent in the middle. This
refers to the story of the founding of Tenochtitlán. The eagle symbolizes the god of
war, represented as an eagle because it flies above others. It is a symbol of power,
strength, and dominion over others.

2.History:The first civilizations emerged in Mexico 4,000 years ago, with the arrival
of Mesoamerican civilizations, for example the Mayans and the Aztecs, known for all
the sculptures, temples, and architectural systems they created, which can be seen
and visited in Mexico nowadays .
The period of Mesoamerican civilizations ended with the conquest of the Aztec
Empire in 1519 by the Spanish, who decided to call their new territory New Spain.
The capital of New Spain was Mexico City, built on the ruins of a Mesoamerican
civilization. Over time, Mexico City grew to become practically a country. And in the
19th century, it gained independence, creating the Mexican Republic, which became
what is now Mexico City .
