BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION USERMANUAL
Registration:
1. Initially for a patient to get registered in TMS, the user needs to capture the biometrics by clicking
“Verify and Register” button as shown in screenshot 1.

2. Upon giving the fingerprint, the biometric authentication can either be successful or rejected.
• Once the user clicks on ‘verify and register’, a pop up will be displayed as ‘Do you want to regis-
ter’ as shown in screen shot 2.

• Upon clicking ‘OK’, the patient gets registered and follows the existing workflow.
After one unsuccessful attempt, user will get 2 more attempts for biometric authentication as shown in
following screenshot 3

If the user is unsuccessful in all 3 attempts then user has a provision to continue authentication with different
options listed below as shown in following screenshot 4
Once user selects Family member authentication a pop will display “Do you want to authenticate
using family member” as shown in following screenshot 5

Family details registered with that respective PMJAY card would display as shown in following figure6

User has to select the respective Family member to whom he want to register and continue by
porving biometric as shown in following figure 7

After succesfull attempt, user has to click “verify and Register” button. Patient would get registered
succesfully.
If the Biometric of a Family member is unsuccesful, pop up would display as shown in following
screenshot 8

User can retry again with biometric by clicking “ retry “ option or
User can click “ Continue with registration” without authenticating using biometric . After clicking “
continue with biometric”, system will as for confirmation message as shown in below screenshot 9

Aftef clicking ok, user will get registered and Registration ID will be generated as shown in following
figure 10

2. Authenticate by OTP on Mobile number registered at the time of obtaining e card (BIS)
If user selects “BIS OTP” authentication, then system would display below alert message as shown in
following figure 11

After clicking ok, user has to enter the OTP which has been to the mobile number registered during BIS e-card
generation as shown in following figure 12

User has to provide OTP and click “ validate “ button. If entered OTP is correct a message would display “OTP
verified succesfully “ as shown in following figure 13

After OTP verification, user has to select “ Register” . system will show pop up as shown in following figure 14

After clicking ok, patient would get registered and Registration ID would be generated
3. Authenticate by OTP on Mobile number registered at the hospital during current registration
treatment
Once user selects above authentication option, system will display a pop up as shonw in following
figure 15

After clicking OK, user will get a mobile number which is provided during current treatment registration. After
entering correct OTP ,user will get below success message as shown in following screenshot 16
Note: In both BIS OTP / TMS OTP authentication if the user is unsuccessful in validating with OTP, user can
continue Registration by clicking “OK” as shown in below screenshot 17

User will get registered and Registration ID would get generated.
Verify Biometric:
User can get Biometric verified with “Verify Biometric” option provided at different stages if the
authentication is unsuccessful during Registration
If the Biometric authentication is failed during registration process, user has a provision to get
verified using “Verify Biometric” option as shown in below screenshot 18

If the Biometric authentication is failed during registration and pre-auth initiation process, user has
a provision to get verified using “Verify Biometric” option as shown in below screenshot 19

During Discharge:
If the Biometric authentication is failed during registration and pre-auth initiation, pre auth updation
process, user has a provision to get verified using “Verify Biometric” option as shown in below
screenshot 20
Once user selects “Verify Biometric” option, system will ask user to capture fingerprint. If the
authentication is successful then the Registration Biometric would be verified.
The status of “Biometric Verified” would be changed to “Yes” in “patient details” tab in PMAM and
Approver logins as shown in below screenshot 21

If the “verify Biometric” authentication is rejected for 3 attempts then system will ask user to
proceed with different authentication options as shown in below screenshot 22 (Detailed workflow
mentioned above)

When Biometric authentication is unsuccessful, the status of “Biometric verified” would be
displayed as “NO” in “patient Details” tab as shown in following screenshot 23

Discharge:
Patient has to get biometric verified during Discharge. User has a provision to get biometric verified
by clicking “Verify and submit” available in “Cases for Surgery/Discharge” tab as shown in following
figure 24.

After clicking “verify and Submit”, system will ask user to “capture Finger print” as shown in
following screenshot 25

After 3 unsuccessful attempts, system will ask user to proceed verification with different
authentications as shown in following figure 26 (Detailed flow mentioned in registration)

If Biometric authentication is unsuccessful by above options user can select “ Discharge” option
without authenticating as shown in following screenshot 27

By Clicking “ Discharge” user shall get Discharge / Surgery Details updated. Case shall follow normal process
Death:
“verify Biometric” or “Verify and Submit” options are available in all cases of “Discharge” type.
If PMAM selects “Death” during “Cases for Surgery/Discharge” then system will show only “Submit” option as
shown in below screenshot 28
