● mc = magic circle ● dec = join the next 2 stitches


● ch = chain into 1 sc
● sc = single crochet ● flo = front loop only
● dc = double crochet ● fo = finish off
● inc = 2 sc in the next stitch ● slst = slip stitch
● bo = bobble stitch

● This is a no-sew pattern. Therefore, you may need to make some


adjustments to the locations of the legs, wings and tail.
● The sizes of the safety eyes depend on the look you are going for.
For example, for the medium dragon, sometimes I chose 12 mm eyes and
sometimes 16 mm eyes.
● The pattern’s colour changes are colour coded. For example, pink is for
the main colour and blue is for the secondary colour. Whenever you see
the colour change in the pattern, it means you should change colours as
well.

Round 1: in a mc, sc 2, horn, sc 3, horn, sc 3 (8 – excluding Horn


the horns) ch 2, ch 1

Round 2: sc 2, skip over the horn, sc 3, skip over


the horn, sc 3 (8)

If the horns are on the inside of the dragon, use your


crochet hook to pull them to the outside.

Round 3: sc 3, bo with 5 loops on the hook, sc 4 (8)

Safety eyes: Insert the safety eyes between rounds 2 and


3, about 2 stitches apart (one on each side of the snout).

Horn adjustment: If you find that one horn is


bigger/looser than the other, cut the secondary colour
yarn and tie the two yarn tails inside the head to
tighten the horns.

Round 4: [sc 2, dec] x 2 (6)

Stuff the head.


Wing
Round 5: [flo inc] x 6 (12) ch 4, starting with
the second chain
Round 6: sc 1, wing, sc 1, wing, sc 3, bo with 4 loops on
from the hook,

Cut the secondary colour yarn.

Round 7: sc 1, lay the wing down towards the head, skip over it, sc 1,
lay the wing down towards the head, skip over it, sc 10 (12)

Round 8: sc 1, tail, sc 1 (insert a stitch Tail


marker in that stitch), sc 1, bo with 4 loops [flo dc 2 in the next stitch] x 2,
on the hook, sc 3, bo with 4 loops on (insert a stitch marker in the
the hook, sc 2 (14) two unworked back loops)

Stuff the body.

Round 9: dec using the first stitch of the round and the first marked back loop
behind the tail, dec again using the second marked back loop behind the tail
and the marked stitch after the tail, [dec] x 4 (6)

Fo, cut the yarn, close the hole and hide the yarn tail inside the body.
