Check Point SecureAcademy™ is a comprehensive program offered through accredited


colleges, universities, technical and trade schools to offer Check Point security solutions as an
integrated part of their existing cyber security curriculum.

General

1. What is the SecureAcademy™ program?


The SecureAcademy™ program is designed to offer Check Point security solutions as part of higher educational studies. It is
intended to be offered as part of a degreed or continuing education program.

2. What kind of schools participate in the SecureAcademy™ Program?


Accredited colleges, universities, post-secondary schools, technical and trade institutions that provide career specific
educational programs, either degreed or continuing education may participate within the program.

3. What is the difference between an ATC and SecureAcademy™?


The market which is targeted and learning plan are the difference between the two programs. Academic institutions focus on a
different sector of the market, with primary emphasis placed on unemployed workers, career changers and/or the youth.
Because the curriculum is part of a degree plan or certificate, the Check Point curriculum is taught over an extended period of
time, which could be several weeks or months, not to exceed more than 12 hours per week. The ATC Partner program is
designed for enterprise business model.
4. Can I incorporate the Check Point curriculum into an existing IT degree plan or certificate program?
Yes. Many colleges and universities have existing comprehensive network and cyber security plans. Check Point can simply
be inserted as an addition to that existing cyber security curriculum.

5. Is there a fee to join or become a SecureAcademy™ partner?


No. There is no cost to join or become a SecureAcademy™ partner.

6. Is the courseware free?


Yes. SecureAcademy™ partners are provided electronic format courseware kits (one per enrolled student).

7. What is the benefit of becoming a SecureAcademy™ partner?

Training
9. What kind of support is available for SecureAcademy™ partners?
SecureAcademy™ partners have access to training materials through our ATC Partner Portal to support classes or curricula.
The ATC Partner Portal is a restricted site for the ATC and SecureAcademy programs. Specific needs or questions can be sent
to secureacademy@checkpoint.com.

10. How are SecureAcademy™ instructors trained?


Training may be obtained via:
 Authorized Training Center (ATC) – highly recommended
 Internet Based Testing – Check Point Associate Instructor (CCAI) certification only
 Self-study

11. What are the requirements to become a SecureAcademy™ instructor?


An instructor must:
 Take and pass the Check Point Associate Instructor (CCAI), Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA) or Check
Point Security Engineering (CCSE) exam.
Note: The CCSA certification is the prerequisite for the CCSE certification.
 Have a trainer or teaching certification
 Certified on the specific Check Point products and product versions being taught.

12. What does Check Point provide for the classroom setup?
Check Point provides all software, licenses, and instructional guides to the SecureAcademy™ partner for classroom setup.

13. How is the classroom setup?


All classroom setup instructions and topology information can be downloaded from the ATC Partner Portal.

14. How do I obtain a software license for the course?


SecureAcademy™ partners should send an email to secureacademy@checkpoint.com and request a bank license (also known
as Certificate Key). Provide the User Center/PartnerMap Account ID number and email address associated to the account in
which the license will be added.

15. How long is the software license valid?


The bank license (also known as Certificate Key) added to the account will have the ability to produce up to five (5) licenses,
each license being valid for 180 days.

16. How do I obtain assistance with generating the license for the course?
SecureAcademy™ partners should contact our Account Services department for licensing assistance.
