organization, from India
Build the system/organization which serves the vulnerable sections of the
society as well as produce environment friendly, sustainable solutions for
the social development.
Problem StatementBackground
• The 2020 pandemic has shown how vulnerable the world has become.
• Resources are not focused for sustainable, environment friendly and social
development.
• The current structure of economies are fueling the large income disparities which in
terms create disrupted fractured societies.
• Governments efforts are either corrupt or inefficient which in terms turn and are
failing to deliver.
• There is a clear conscious lack of organizations serving for the societal betterment, before
the individual or family good.
• There is profound need of institutions which solve this disparity and generate the
solutions that serve this vulnerable section of society.
Detailed pProblem statement
• Food Security
 Vulnerable sections of society and middle class sections of India who are is overpaying for low
quality of food.
 About a third of Indians can pay for all its nutrition requirements. More than half of the balance
can pay for some of its food requirements, however, there is yet quite a lot who are not able to
afford a lot of its basic food requirements. We are amongst the largest, undernourished,
population and amongst the largest in infant mortality and post natal maternity mortality in the
world.
 Although, the food should be easily available to all; most importantly should be good quality,
naturally grown, nutritious and adulteration and poison free.
 Many times, eEven the non-vulnerable section who can pay for the food are cheated by toxicity
or adulteration, artificial scarcity and other malpractices by large or corrupt businesses.
 So Paying customers are over charged and sold toxic, under nutrioned foods. Many cannot
afford all the foods they need. Many yet are almost completely neglected.
 On the other side, Farmers are dying because their operations have become unsustainable in
the same country where people are paying amongst the highest rates for everyday foods.
 Govt agencies are highly inefficient and or corrupt, even with this basic human need.
 This problem aligns with 1st and 2nd “Sustainable Development Goals” by United Nations.
• Personally I don’t like INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS, They are compromised and
corrupt and have turned into a MAFIA. Their endorsements or policies are actually to steal
in ways, people cannot understand.

I think more points need to be stressed, to invoke curiosity and motivate for action.
The above points might be enough for those who understand or know.
Most people are largely ignorant of the extent of damage that is happening to them.
The system has to improve.
Individuals cannot build or buy this just for themselves.
It is inefficient and expensive and unless they realize this they will not act.
Problem Proposed solution

• There should be an organization which is focused on streamlining this food supply chain
and by aggregating the demand and localizing the supply.
 Consumers can get better access to more local vendors than physical market visits.
 Local vendors can reduce wastage of perishables with access to such markets. With
better visibility for both the consumer and supply chain, Time to Market gets
reduced helping to avoid rotting/wastage of perishables and hence helping save a
lot of costs which in turn can mean lower prices for consumers.
 As wastage reduces, farmers can get better compensation instead of the middlemen
who will try to cover costs caused by rotting / wastage.
• while doing so it should be widely owned by people who will work to solve the above.

organization/system should facilitate a supply chain that weeds out intermediaries who
are compromising the supply chain and offer a durable channel tofarmers who are honestly
growing qualityfoods.
Benefits Percieved
• Paying consumers would get better quality and hence better value for the foods they buy.
• Local vendors would get better wider, easier market access helping reduce wastage and
hence costs and without unfair or expensive promotion costs.
• Farmers and wholesalers would get easier and wider market access and remunerative value
for good quality foods which in turn can increase supply for more consumers.
• A positive supply chain will overall facilitate the production and distribution of better quality
foods with prices that are fair to the producers and not unfair to the consumers.
• People, Organisations, Govt institutions, already taking care of vulnerable sections of society
can get more support from everyone in the society to drive their missions.
• Everyone in society should get adequate quantity of good quality foods for their families.
• The organization should be widely owned to avoid greed taking over control.
Challenges we face
• This is tough to do, because it is about mindset. Finding people who will agree and willing to
work for the outcome is a primary challenge.
• The systems knowledge is available to address the objective. It is the fear in people to
contribute the efforts without knowing the outcome holds them back to contribute.

Current team
• Citizens of Bharat, occupationally, software developers, who feel there is a need to
address this as stated and who are willing to work for it to see how far can we go. We
feel the way the world’s current functioning needs new approaches and we want to try
the above solution.
