Description of the Proposition

MATKA: Revolutionizing Urban Wind Energy

(a) Details of Proposed Solution

MATKA is a next-generation urban wind energy system designed to overcome the limitations of traditional
solar panels and wind turbines. It features an innovative shrouded wind turbine that captures wind from
any direction and accelerates airflow using a specialized vane, fin, and diffuser system. Unlike
conventional turbines, MATKA operates efficiently in low-wind environments, making it ideal for urban
rooftops, commercial buildings, and off-grid locations. The compact design ensures low noise, high energy
output, and minimal maintenance, making it a practical solution for decentralized renewable energy
generation.

(b) Problem Addressed

Current renewable energy solutions face major challenges:

 Solar panels depend on consistent sunlight, limiting efficiency in cloudy or shaded areas.

 Traditional wind turbines require high wind speeds and large open spaces, making them

impractical for cities.

 High space requirements and maintenance costs hinder adoption in densely populated areas.

MATKA solves these problems by harnessing wind energy efficiently in urban environments, working
regardless of wind direction, and being space-efficient and cost-effective compared to conventional
alternatives.

(c) Why is MATKA Unique and Required?

 Omni-Directional Wind Capture: Unlike conventional turbines, MATKA’s unique design allows it
to generate power from wind coming in any direction.

 Enhanced Wind Acceleration: The vane, fin, and diffuser system accelerates airflow, ensuring
high power generation even in low-wind conditions.

 Compact & Urban-Friendly: Unlike large traditional wind turbines, MATKA fits on rooftops,
enabling energy production in dense urban areas.

 Silent & Low Maintenance: Unlike noisy turbines, MATKA operates quietly with minimal wear
and tear, making it ideal for residential and commercial use.

 Scalable & Modular: It can be deployed individually or in clusters, allowing flexibility for homes,
businesses, and industrial setups.

(d) Target Audience / Market

 Urban Households & Apartments – Individuals looking for off-grid, clean energy solutions in
cities.

 Commercial & Industrial Buildings – Businesses seeking sustainable power alternatives to cut
energy costs.

 Smart Cities & Government Projects – Urban infrastructure developments integrating renewable
energy solutions.

 Remote & Off-Grid Areas – Locations with unreliable electricity access can benefit from
MATKA’s self-sustaining power generation.

With growing concerns about climate change and energy sustainability, MATKA presents a disruptive,
practical, and scalable solution that redefines how urban wind energy is generated and utilized.

Development Status

Brief overview (maximum 1000 words) with data such as:

a) What is the current state of proposition?

b) Do you have a prototype of service/product ready?

no

c) Do you have a proof of concept ready?

No, we do not have a working prototype yet. However, our proposition is backed by extensive
research, feasibility studies, and conceptual designs that validate its potential. We have analyzed
existing wind energy technologies, identified key inefficiencies, and developed an innovative
approach that addresses these gaps. The next step is to develop a prototype to demonstrate real-
world feasibility.
d) What is the estimated time to bring your product to market (time to market)?
Given that we are in the early research and conceptualization phase, we estimate a timeframe of 12
to 18 months to bring our product to market. This includes prototype development (3-6 months),
testing and optimization (6 months), regulatory approvals, and initial production scaling (3-6
months). The timeline may vary depending on funding, partnerships, and technical refinements.

e) What is the time frame for testing and certification? In case required

Given that we are in the early research and conceptualization phase, we estimate a timeframe of 12
to 18 months to bring our product to market. This includes prototype development (3-6 months), testing and
optimization (6 months), regulatory approvals, and initial production scaling (3-6 months). The timeline
may vary depending on funding, partnerships, and technical refinements.

You can further elaborate on following items:

a) Literature survey/patent search

no

b) Specify the development work done so far

We have conducted extensive research and feasibility analysis, identifying key limitations in
existing wind energy solutions. A conceptual design has been developed, incorporating vanes, fins,
diffusers, and a rotor system for efficient wind capture. Theoretical validation through aerodynamic
analysis and simulations confirms its potential. Additionally, material and feasibility studies have
been done to ensure cost-effective and durable deployment.

c) Is your Idea/Concept/Product has been Patented (Give details, if any)

no

d) Are there any external agencies involved as sponsor or subcontractor? Give details of the agency

no
e) Discuss Market feasibility studies /reports for proposed product.
Market feasibility studies show a rising demand for compact renewable energy solutions, especially
in urban areas. The small wind turbine market is growing due to government incentives,
sustainability goals, and rising electricity costs. MATKA addresses the inefficiencies of solar panels
and traditional wind turbines, making it a viable alternative. Potential adopters include smart
cities, commercial buildings, and industries seeking energy independence

f)Do you have any feedback from Consumers / Users(Give details in case if any)

no

Current renewable energy options are severely limited—solar panels depend on unbroken
sunlight, and traditional wind turbines need strong winds and open areas. Cities need a low-
profile, effective, and inexpensive wind energy system that can run in changing weather
conditions.

Develop a compact, omni-directional wind turbine for urban environments, ensuring efficient,
low-noise, and sustainable energy generation.

Efficiency: Provide at least 30% more energy in low-wind urban environments than conventional
small turbines.
Scalability: Create a modular design scalable for residential, commercial, and smart city
usecases
