Characterizations:
Morphology of the synthesized nanoforms was examined using field emission scanning
electron microscope (FESEM, Hitachi S-4800). Crystallinity and phase purity of the synthesized
artefacts were examined by XRD and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (JEOL
Kα x-ray source. Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area of the nanoform was measured with

Details of Mott-Schottky measurements and Calculations:
Mott Schottky measurements were performed using the AC electrochemical impedance method
Instrument. The space-charge capacitance C vary with the applied potential V by the Mott-Schottky
equation:
1 2 kT
C
2 = 2
ε ε0 e A N A
(V-Vfb-
e
)
Where the symbols have their usual meanings. The plot of C-2 vs V yields a straight line from which

the acceptor density NA can be obtained from the inverse of the slope ( C2 ) of 2 vs V curve.
C

So, from figure S7 we clearly apprehend that the slope CNCO curve is lower than NCO curve,
which yields the larger value of N A which in turn reflects in their electrochemical storage property.
Using the Mott-Schottky equation, the flat band potential is determined from the intercept with the

x-axis on the linear plot of 2 vs V curve. Flat band potential V fb obtained for CNCo is -1.1V and
