compressibility, vapour pressure, capillary and surface tension, Absolute and gauge pressures –
pressure measurements by manometers and pressure gauges, Hydrostatic forces on submerged
surfaces, Buoyancy, Metacenter and Metacentric height, Stability of immersed and floating bodies

Dimensional less number and significance, Rayleigh's and Buckingham's Pi Method for dimensional
analysis, Similarity laws and models

Mass Conservation and Inviscid Flow : Continuity equation (one and three dimensional differential
forms), Euler's equation along a streamline, Bernoulli's equation and applications - Venturimeter,
Orificemeter, Pitot-tube

Viscous Flow : Classification of viscous flow, Steady Laminar Flow between fixed parallel plates,
Couette Flow, Navier - Stoke's equation (Statement only), Shear stress-pressure gradient
