Anna : I will have it with regular milk, please.
Waiter: Got it. Would you like to add any sugar or syrup to your cappuccino?
Anna : No, thank you. Just the cappuccino and muffin are perfect.
Waiter: Alright, your total is $7.50. Can I get you anything else while you wait?
Anna : Actually, could I also have a glass of water, please?
Waiter: Of course, I will bring that right away.
Anna : Thank you! I really appreciate it.

David : Hey, Sarah! You look a bit stressed. Everything okay?

handle it on my own.
David : I understand. But if you get stuck, feel free to ask! I could even give you a few tips
to make it easier.
Sarah : That sounds helpful. Actually, I could use some tips on organizing the sections.
Would you mind sharing?
David : Not at all! How about I give you a few pointers on how to structure the introduction
and the conclusion? I will explain it briefly.
Sarah : That would be amazing! Thank you so much.

Tom : Hi, excuse me. Could you help me find a book? I’m looking for something

Librarian : Alright, follow me, I will show you a few options. Would you prefer a book
with more pictures, or are you okay with something more text-heavy?
Tom : I think a text-heavy book would be fine. I’m really interested in learning all
the details.
Librarian : Perfect. Let’s go to the history section. I will grab a few books for you to
choose from.
Tom : Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your help.

Dialogue 4: Offering Help with a Group Project


Emily : I am so tired. This group project is taking longer than I thought.
Jack : Yeah, it is been a bit stressful. How are we doing with the research?
Emily : I have found a lot of information, but I am struggling to put it all together.
It’s hard to organize it.
Jack : Would you like me to help you with that? I can help you create a clearer
outline for the project.
Emily : That would be awesome! I’m just not sure where to start.
Jack : No worries. How about we break it down into sections? I will help you with
the introduction and conclusion, and you can focus on the middle part.
Emily : That sounds like a good plan! Thanks so much for offering. I think this will
make things a lot easier.

Dialogue 5: Making a Request for a Favor from a Neighbour


Alex : Hey, John! Do you have a minute?
John : Sure, what’s up?
Alex : Well, I am having a bit of a problem. I need to go out of town this weekend, and I
was wondering if you could look after my dog, Max, for a couple of days.
John : I would be happy to! I have taken care of Max before, so I know how to look after
him.
Alex : That’s great to hear! I really appreciate it. Could you also feed him in the morning
and evening? And let him out for a walk once a day?
John : Of course, no problem at all. I will take care of everything.
Alex : Thanks so much, John! You’re a lifesaver. I will leave you all the food and his leash.
John : You are welcome! Have a great trip, and don’t worry about Max. He will be in good
hands.
