CHINAB RIVER

• Largest river of himachal in volume of


water.
• Two stream namely chandra and
bhaga flows through oposite side of
bara la cha pass to meet at place
called Tandi in Lahaul spiti of HP.
• It is part of zaskar range.
• chandra flow through south east and
bhaga through north west of bara la
cha pass.
• It enter chamba at bhujind and leave
chamba at sansari nala .
RAVI RIVER
Originate from bara bhangal as a joint stream
formed by glacier fed stream of Badal an. tant giri.
It’s left bank tributaries are chirchind nala.
Right bank tributaries are Budhil tundhan, Belijedi,
saho and siul.
Beli budhi si sa takdi.
Sanskri name- iravati.
158 km Length in hp with catchment area of 5451
sq km.Merges with chinab river in Pakistan.
Madhopur and bada bharmour as main settlement
The Ravi river first flow towards westward through
trough saparating Pir panjal from Dhauladhar
range, then it flow southward, leaving chamba at
kheri.
SATLUJ RIVER

the pass known as Rohtang pass. To the
north lies the beas rishi and to the south of
this lies beas kund, source of the river, these
two stream meets at palchan where is fotm
the river Beas.Its TRIBUTARIES are the
Parbati,the malana nala and Spin in the
east.and the Solang the manalsu, and the
fojjal are at the best.

Enter mandi at bajaura, it’s northern
streams are Hansa tirthan , bakhali, jiuni
and suketi.Son Panddi and bakher.

KANGRA DISTRICT
TRIBUTARIES OF BEAS
Enter Kangra at sandhole and leave at
Mirthal.
It is joined in Kangra from north at Binwa,
neugal, banganga, gaj dehr and chakki.
And kunah, Maseh , Khairan and man at
south
