21. The ratio of A:B is 3:4 and B:C is 2:5. Find A:C.
Solution: A:B = 3:4 → B = 4x B:C = 2:5 → B = 2y

22. If the ratio of two numbers is 7:9 and their difference is 40, find the numbers.

Solution: Make b common: LCM of 5 and 6 = 30 a:b = 24:30, b:c = 30:35 → a:b:c = 24:30:35
