INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
To maintain academic rigor and certification integrity, the following official guidelines outline
the mandatory requirements all students must fulfill to be eligible for the final PG certificate.
DIYguru students who wish to upgrade from the Nanodegree Program to the 12-month
Postgraduate (PG) Program.
Students who enrolled in the DIYguru 12-month PG Program between May – September
2024.
Students enrolled in the DIYguru EICT IIT Guwahati 12-month PG Program.

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
After each course, the student must appear in a course-wise ASDC-aligned written
online exam.
The student must pass each of these exams to fulfill certification requirements.
These certification conditions ensure that every DIYguru PG graduate meets the academic
and professional standards expected by the industry. We urge all students to read and follow
the above guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing of their certificate after program
completion.

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
Spanning 12 months and comprising 19 curated courses, the program ensures a step-by-
step progression, covering all core domains (EV fundamentals, MATLAB/simulation,
embedded systems, design, etc.), with a focus on cross-domain integration.
The DIYguru PG Program curriculum is organized into five progressive phases, each
reflecting a key stage in the EV product development lifecycle — from foundational
theory to component-level engineering, complete system integration and R&D.
This phased approach fosters deep conceptual understanding alongside practical, tool-
based skills, preparing participants for real-world engineering roles.

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
Purpose: Phase 1 establishes conceptual clarity and baseline technical fluency. Learners
are introduced to fundamentals of EV technology, power electronics, simulation tools
(MATLAB), and embedded systems—building a strong cross-domain, multidisciplinary
foundation.
This phase sets the stage for tackling progressively more complex technical applications in
subsequent phases.
Course 2 Advanced EV Engineering: Numerical Analysis, EVs, HEVs, & Heavy Vehicles

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
Purpose: This phase marks the transition from conceptual understanding to component-
level design. Learners are introduced to BMS, EV mechanical CAD modeling, & structural
analysis of EV subsystems using industry-standard tools such as SOLIDWORKS and ANSYS.
Course 6 Certification in Advanced BMS and Modeling & Simulation for EVs

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
Purpose: This phase advances students into high-level simulation, deep modeling, and
system-level integration, with a focus on mastering embedded systems. Learners gain
technical expertise in embedded development using ARM Cortex, full system-level modeling
with MATLAB-Simulink, and detailed structural & thermal analysis using ANSYS.
By bridging software and hardware fluency, this phase deepens the understanding of EV
system behavior & performance, while laying the foundation for multidisciplinary EV
system development, fully realized in the integration-focused Phase 4.
Course 10 Advanced Embedded Systems for EVs: ARM Cortex Development & Integration

INNOVATIONS IN FUTURE MOBILITY
Purpose: This phase prepares learners for end-to-end EV system development and
capstone execution, applying prior knowledge to design, integrate, and validate
complete EV systems. Learners will build domain expertise in powertrain and control
systems while integrating motor & drive systems, battery pack engineering & charging
technology.
It ensures participants are ready for industry roles, mirroring OEM workflows and
preparing them to build, test, and optimize complete EV systems.
Course 12 Certification in Motor & Drive System for EVs: Design & Optimization
Advanced Control Systems for EV: MATLAB for Design & Implementation
Course 14
(Optional for those who choose the SOLIDWORKS certification in Phase 2)
