安装指南
字体说明
[root@localhost]# 系统提示符
uname –r 斜体英文是用户需要输入字符
选择 1，进行 NetBackup 的安装 斜体下划线字体是注释
Choose an option [default: q] 安装过程中的英文是系统提示

安装准备
用 root 用户登录。
确认 Linux 的内核版本。
[root@localhost]#uname -r
如果内核版本号低于 2.2.X，请升级内核。
安装所需要的软件包。
需要另外安装 ncurses4 软件包。从 www.redhat.com 可以得到针对不同平台的安装包，
Intel 平台的机器的安装包从以下地址获得 ftp://updates.redhat.com/7.2/en/os/i386/
ncurses4-5.0-5.i386.rpm。下载到本地后进行安装。
[root@localhost]#rpm –i ncurses4-5.0-5.i386.rpm
对于其他 Linux 如果没有现成的安装包，则需要下载源代码进行编译和安装。
开始安装
将 NetBackup 光盘放入光驱。如果系统不能自动 mount 光盘就需要手动 mount 光盘文件系统。
[root@localhost]#mount /dev/cdrom /mnt
切换目录到 Netbackup 软件所在目录。
[root@localhost]#cd /mnt
开始安装
[root@localhost]#./install

The NetBackup and Media Manager software is built for use on LINUX
hardware.

选择是否安装 NBU 和介质管理文件，选择 y(es)。安装开始
NetBackup is normally installed in /usr/openv/netbackup.
The existing /usr/openv/netbackup directory will be used for netbackup.

Media Manager is normally installed in /usr/openv/volmgr.

Is it OK to install in /usr/openv/volmgr? (y/n) [y]


选择将软件安装到什么目录，缺省是/usr/openv/volmgr
The Linux clients will be loaded. Do you want to load any other NetBackup
clients onto the server? (y/n) [y] n
选择是否安装其他的平台的客户端，如果不需要则选择 n(o)。
A NetBackup BusinesServer or DataCenter license key is needed for installation
to continue.

输入从 VERITAS 购买的 license key。

提示输入另外的 License Key，如果没有其他的 License，则选择 n(o)。

系统为服务器设置名称，如果不接受缺声名称，选择 n(o)，手动输入及其名称。

在这里加入其他的 Media Server.

将全局设备信息放在哪台机器上。却省是放在本机。

选择 yes 将使得服务器可以对客户端进行分布式的安装。
Do you want to create policy and schedule examples that you can view or use
when you are configuring your own policies and schedules? (y/n) [y]
是否安装策略(policy)和计划(schedule)的配置实例。
Client database indexing reduces the search time when restoring client files, but
it takes about 2% more disk space. Do you want to index the client database
files? (y/n) [y]
是否对客户端数据库作索引以捡少恢复客户端时的检索时间。
The default index level is 9 levels. Use the default? (y/n) [y]
选择索引的层次数。
Do you want to start the Media Manager device daemon processes? (y/n) [y]
是否启动 Media Manager device 的守护进程。
Do you want to start the NetBackup bprd process so backups and restores can
be initiated? (y/n) [y]
是否启动 NBU bprd 进程。

安装 NetBackup 完成，选择 q 退出安装程序。

在/etc/init.d 目录下，有 netbackup 脚本文件，每次系统启动，netbackup 守护进程都会自动运行。
