OBJECTIVE
Looking for a Supplier Quality Manager/ Quality Manager Position where excellent Quality
management, System & Process Audit, Project management Skills and Supplier development
experience of automotive product will be utilized.
SUMMARY
More than 11 years of professional in Quality & Manufacturing Management of
Automotive Industry, which include more than 3 years as Quality Manager at TENMA
Plastic Molding (2 years), VINFAST AUTO (over 1 year currently working)
and nearly 8 years as Quality Assistant Manager/ Engineer at DENSO CORPORATION
(including 2 years in JAPAN - DENSO JAPAN & 6 years at DENSO VIETNAM), handling for
all quality matter from IQC, PQC, OQC, Defect investigation, New Project Management,
Developing new supplier, Building Quality Management System and leading Cost Innovation
Project Management.
Experienced with all stages of the development cycle of a new automotive product for a new
vehicle, new project launch, supply chain management base on 5 core tools of IATF16949
(APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and building quality management system/procedure.
Strong understanding and practical applications of Lean Six Sigma as Green Belt Certificated
(DMAIC, DFM, DOE, QFD, Pokayoke, Minitab using , 7 QC Tools …)
Proficient in QMS, Product & Process Audit, Abnormality & Defect Investigation, Quality Control
of Machining, Assembly, Welding, Plastic Molding, Heat Treatment, Laser Treaming, Aluminium
Extrusion, Anodizing, Plastic Plating ... as well as Customer System & Process Audit handling
SKILL HIGHLIGHTS
• Effectively project & team management: Set up KPI for QA Section, assign tasks to the
right person by MBO form, monitor progress then extract daily to-do list from the overall plan
by its importance & urgency, promptly advice to prevent problems before it happens.
• Complex problem solving: Base on TPOA format (Topic -> Purpose -> Orientation ->
Action) approach and analyze the problem overall and then with a purpose-oriented mindset,
extract appropriate action base on all possible resources including in-house & outsource.
EXPERIENCE
➣ Aug 2013 ~ Jul 2021 - nearly 2 years working in JAPAN (DENSO JAPAN) & 06 years in
VIETNAM (DENSO VIETNAM)
• Leader of QCC activity “Reduce Oil Control Flow Linearity Defect”: Create FTA,
coordinate related department to verify potential factor, extract root cause & follow up
corrective action, verify its effectiveness.
• Car maker Process Audit handling: Assess customer requirements, make dealing plan,
coordinate related departments to fill in checklist, prepare evidence, and set up on-site audit
layout on factory (from material incoming...to packing) guide PIC to answer customer's
question, example: Toyota, Suzuki, Volvo, Mitsubishi...
• Team managing: Create overall teamwork schedules, assign tasks base on each individual
abilities, periodically monitor progress, orientate how to proceed, regularly challenge staffs
and motivate them, carry out On Job Training to strategically level up staff’s capabilities.
• Training ESC (Early Stage Control)* & Quality Assurance (PPAP, SPC, Control
plan...): ESC definition, purpose, milestone control, work content & responsibility
assignment among related departments.
• Technical Audit Know-how Data Base creating & sharing: Plastic Injection molding,
Omron Laser Trimming, Plasma Cleaning, Image inspection, Resistance Welding, Epoxy
Adhesive Bonding, Aluminium Extrusion...
• FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) training: FTA role in Quality Assurance Job, its difference from
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) , FTA structure, Principle and how to apply it in
defect investigation and extract critical control item in a product.
• Create Quality Evaluation Plan for New product or change product: List up change
point follow by 5M1E, extract concern points base on object’s function, as well as evaluation
items (intial & durability) & action to verify.
• Create & Sign Off Standard document, example: Part Inspection Standard,
Boundary Sample for Assy, Sub-assy, Component for IQC, IPQC, OQC.
• Leading Cost Innovation Activity: Apply Automation (Auto runner auto cut, AGV
applying, RFID inventory management…) and Cost Innovation program (Develop New
Plastic Plating Supplier, Implement Cost reduction activity with current supplier, Rubber
supplier gathering, Reduce Manpower by Optimizing operation layout & movement,
Centralize material buying …)
• Leading cross function team to review & optimize Production, Mold Control &
Logistic process flow: Point out issue about Safety, Quality, Productivity, suggest
solutions, Driving Improvement
• Cooperate with other experts, implement training programs for Leader up of all
direct sections about: New product preparation & role of each section, Injection process,
Molding role & structure, problem-solving methodology: PDCA, 5why analysis, Ho-Ren-
So, 7QC tools, Process Window & guiding them by actual tasks.
• Schedule & carry out yearly process, quality management system audit to 16
suppliers: Point out issue, drive them to improvement way, make common commitment s &
follow up to level up supplier level.
➢ Jul 2023 ~ Present – VINFAST AUTO LTD.
• Revise Process Compliance Control procedure, to build audit plans for the whole
Vinfast Complex based on Coverage, Performance, Severity of each object (Workshop,
Production line), criteria for scoring, benchmark workshops each other, rewarding &
punishment
• Initiate Compliance Status Level Up activity for all workshop by summarizing overall
status of each workshop by each audit factor, function area to reveal actual weak factors &
areas, from that coordinate related parties to build continuous improvement plan and
actualize it.
