Before I begin this u need to be clear about a few certain things.

1. SAP native installation is faster than VMware, the reason y I won’t tell its below your
qualification level.
2. U need to have 350 GB of empty space
3. This is SAP IDES ECC 6.0 EHP5

Oracle Installation.
 Create a installation location as \oracle\ARP\10204 that is oracle\SSID(three letter SID that u
chose)\10204.
 Go to location \SAP IDES EHP5\Oracle_Install(51031678)\NT\AMD64\database and run
setup.exe
 Choose advance installation in first Screen, Enterprise Edition in 2nd.
 Name – SSID (ARP in my case)
Path – the path to 10204 location u created .
 Choose Install Software Installation only when prompted.

Oracle Patch installation

 Go to file path SAP IDES EHP5\ORACLE RDBMS Patch 10.2.0.5 Windows Server on x64 64bit\
ORACLE_Patch_10.2.0.5_LINUX__Windows_\WINDOWS_X86_64\Disk1.
 Run the setup exe.
 Choose the Name as the three letter SSID and path as the oracle installed.

4. Installed Jdk version which is present in the installation folder itself


5. Activated Microsoft Loopback Adapter(go to services—right click on computer name—Add
legacy hardware2nd option--> Network AdaptersMicrosoft loopback )
6. Use a IP in loop back adapter.
7. Go to windows system32driversconfigetc.hosts right click open with notepad
at bottom write ip u set in loopbackgive 2 tab space write your computer name save it.
8. Now go to Network and sharing center by right clicking on Wi-Fi/LAN icon beside clock on
desktop, U can see a connection named Ethernet 2 , go to its properties -> tcp/ipv4 settings,
Provide the IP address u provided to the loopback adapter, it will take the subnet setting by
itself. Save it and go to next step.
9. And Increased Swap size.(20 GB at least), for it right click on computerpropertiesAdvanced
sys settingsadvancedperformancesettingsadvancedchangeuncheck automatically
manage…..-->custominitial size=20480, final size=20480 restart the comp.

This the installation folder of ehp5 looks like…


 Before u start this I would recommend making the date of your system 2 years in advance as SAP
ides has license for just 3 months so install in future dates use it 1-2 times as such then restore the
normal date.
 Go to F:\SAP\ecc6_ehp5\IDES Installation Master BS7i2010\51041427\IM_WINDOWS_X86_64
 Run the sapinst.exe to start the installer
 Select the above option
 Select the custom option in the next screen
 Put the 3 letter id as u did for oracle, remember id must be same.
 No need for FQDN in next Screen.
 It should not start with S E etc.
 Best practice would be to set SID starting with A
 Eg: ARP, AHS
 Here u need to choose a master password. It should be compatible with the policies followed by SAP
, Press f1 for help on the value field.

 Choose the local insallation in the next Screen.

 In Database Parameters provide the SID(3 Letters) u gave to ur oracle installation.

 If u have incresed Cache Size and Did everything correctly then u will see this screen

 Small+capital+special char+digits+8 char long.


 My Installation in On server 2013 that is y m getting this error , but u can continue by Pressing next
and then cancel
 Now specify the address of the \ecc6_ehp5\BS7i2010 UC-Kernel 7.20 Windows Server on x64 64bit\
NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_OS_400__Windows
 Click next on host agent and SAPOSCOL
 next on windows domain for host agent
 Next on prefilled OS User passwords.
 Specify the folder inside installation export bearing 1 no \ecc6_ehp5\install export\
51041419_1\51041419_1
 Repeat the process when prompted for Export 5,2,3,4
 Click on next on the screens that follows as the screens that follows pertain to creation of databases
which is handled by sap only, so no need of changing the parameters.
 Now this is where u have to provide Kernel which is situated at the parameters
\ecc6_ehp5\SL CONTROLLER 700\NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_OS_400__Windows.

 In the same type of screen installer will ask for oracle client provide the path \ecc6_ehp5\ORACLE
Client 10.2.0.5 V3.

 Now the installer will ask for SAPCRYPTO.SAR which can be found in \ecc6_ehp5\SAPCRYPTO
Windows Server on x64 64bit.

 Click next as the system will show the parameters of file. Click next till u find installer prompting for
JCE file which can be found in jce_policy-6.zip on location \ecc6_ehp5.
 Hit next till u find urself on a screen

 Select no SLD Destination as this is where DAA is setup which is a Diagnostic Utility.
 Hit next to find urself seeing the installation started only to stuck on a screen as this.
 Note this above 3 variables as they will be needed when installing SAPGUI.
 This is where u have to download a key script from ABAP-HYDERABAD Facebook page
named as SolManKeyGentxt.txt and then Convert it into VBS script by changing the extension
to .vbs
 Provide the above 3 variables so that it can generate a unique key that is needed here.
 Provide the key over here so the installation can begin and now put the machine in charger

And get a good sleep…: D


After 12-14 hours u will see the following

 Go to the location F:\SAP\SAP ECC EHP5\SAPgui\GUI720\NW_7.0_Presentation\PRES1\NT


 Here u will see three folder namely AMD64 (go inside mmc if u installed 64 bit OS) ,
i386 (if u installed 32 bit os).
 Install the GUI following classing windows installation procedure i.e. Hitting next next next
Button until it finishes.
Now u have to start the SAP server. But before doing that u have to start the oracle instances.

Now u have to go in the properties of these 3 services and start the properties and make there type as
automatic. Once done we shall move to next step. Also check whether these services are running
Double click the SAP Management Console that is available on the desktop

 Start the server by giving timeout period 6000 and Id as (your ID)ADM [EG ARPADM] and the
master password u decided at the start. Id E.g. ARPADM
 Wait till the server icon before ARP turns green.

Meanwhile u wait lets create the logon process.


 Open SAPGUI.
 Click the New page icon to create the logon id (like u see LID in Lab).
 In the second page of connection tab of the open wizard.
 Now u will be needing those 3 values that were prompted before installation.
 Provide any name in Description.
 Application Server - Central System Host (Your System Name).
 Instance No - Central System no.
 SAP system ID - SSID.

Now once the system has turned green time for you to login by using the credentials.

 Client – 800
 User – IDADMIN
 Password – ides.
By now the Server has turned to green. Use the SAP* and your master password to logon in the system.
But now u won’t be able to make a custom Z program, to do that u need to change the user.

 Go to su01
 Create new user names SAPUSER
 Give A last name
 Erase The fax no given
 Click on logon data tab
 Provide an Alias and password
 In the profile tab add following 2 values
 SAP_ALL
 SAP_NEW
 Click on save Button.

DEVELOPER'S KEY.
To edit or make any z program in SAP one needs Developers key, which is created in SAP master
Place, we couldn’t get access to market place but we were able to get another Solution.

 Logon with the user SAPUSER and the password u provided


 Go to SE38 and create a z program and provide following key 36687663221261278694.

Now you should be able to create your Custom Programs by Yourself. Happy ABAPING.
