Titrette General Information
Hazard warnings and safety instructions
The common hazard warnings and safety instructions in the User Manual for the Titrette® are generally applicable.
Special attention should be paid to the following points regarding the use of this Repair Manual:
- Persons carrying out repairs do so on their own responsibility and at their own risk; improper repairs do not
constitute grounds for a defect claim.
- Only authorized and trained specialists should access the upper portion of the instrument.
- The corresponding training is offered by BRAND.
- Repairs should only be carried out according to the Repair Manual with the proper toolkit.
- Only original replacement parts should be used.
- Any work done inside the instrument can lead to volume changes. Thus, a function and volume check should
be performed immediately afterward according to the accompanying BRAND testing guide (SOP).
Note:
- Prior to beginning repairs, ESD safety measures according to IEC 61340-5-1 should be implemented;
- Protect the circuit board from damage and electrostatic charge; Hold the circuit board only by the edges
and do not allow it to contact conductive materials;
- After dismantling the upper portion of the instrument or replacing the magnetic scale, piston rod and/or
dispensing cartridge, follow the instructions in the Service Menu (see p 14).
