To take a screenshot on Windows, you can use the Print Screen (PrtScn)

key, the Windows Key + PrtScn shortcut, or the Snipping Tool (Windows
Key + Shift + S). The PrtScn key copies the entire screen to the clipboard,
while the Windows Key + PrtScn saves it directly to your Pictures >
Screenshots folder. The Snipping Tool (accessed by Windows Key + Shift +
S) allows you to select a specific area of the screen to capture.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Print Screen (PrtScn) Key:

 Press the Print Screen key (usually located in the top row of your
keyboard, near the F12 key).

 This copies the entire screen to your clipboard.

 You'll need to open an image editing program (like Paint) and paste
the screenshot (Ctrl + V) to save it.

2. Windows Key + Print Screen:

 Press the Windows logo key + Print Screen key simultaneously.

 The screen will briefly dim, indicating that a screenshot has been
taken.

 The screenshot is automatically saved as a PNG file in the

"Screenshots" folder within your "Pictures" folder.

3. Snipping Tool (Windows Key + Shift + S):

 Press Windows logo key + Shift + S.

 The screen will darken, and a menu will appear at the top of the
screen.

 You can choose from different snip modes: rectangular, free-form,

window, or full-screen.

 Select the area you want to capture by clicking and dragging with
your mouse.

 The captured snip is copied to your clipboard.

 You can then paste it into an image editor or other application.

Additional Tips:

 Surface Pen:

If you have a Surface device, you can double-click the pen button to
activate the Snipping Tool.
 Third-party tools:

There are many third-party screenshot tools available with additional

features.

 Game bar:

For gamers, the Xbox Game Bar (Windows key + G) offers screenshot and
recording options.
