Flight Configuration Precautions With Electrical Power
WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON
OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMA
GE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
NOTE: Do this task only if electrical power is necessary for subsequent maintenance tasks. If electrical power
is not necessary, do the Flight Configuration Precautions without Electrical Power procedure (Ref. TAS
K 32-00-00-860-001-A-01).

B. Deactivation of the Air Data Probes
WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS, OPEN THE PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-B
REAKERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONN
EL.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPEN THE EIU1(2) CIRCUIT BREAKER(S), OPEN ALL THE PROBE HEATER C
IRCUIT-BREAKERS.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONN
EL.
(1) Do the deactivation of the air data probes for maintenance
Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-00-040-802.

C. Open, safety and tag the circuit breakers that follow in the given sequence. Use the SAFETY CLIP - CIRCUI
T BREAKER as necessary.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE GROUND CONFIGURATION WHILE THE AVIO
NICS-COMPARTMENT VENTILATION SYSTEM IS RECONFIGURED. IF YOU DO, THERE IS
A RISK THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE AVIONICS COMPARTMENT WILL BECOME TOO H
OT.
(1) Do the deactivation of the avionics-compartment ventilation system Ref. AMM TASK 21-26-00-860
-001. At this step, do not reactivate the avionics-compartment ventilation system.
NOTE: The avionics-compartment ventilation system will be reactivated during Para. 4.D.
NOTE: The flight configuration precautions are completed and you can put the electrical power
back without damage to the anti-ice heat elements.
(2) To put the electrical power back to the aircraft, do one of the two steps that follow:
(a) On ELEC panel 35VU, push the EXT PWR pushbutton switch (the AVAIL legend goes off).
