Job brief – QA Engineer
We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. QA Tester responsibilities include designing and implementing tests based on software specification. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. You can think of our client’s solutions as a type of cloud-based ERP (B2B) in terms of what type of test scenarios are expected. Responsibilities (i) Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. (ii) Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. (iii) Execute test cases and analyze results. (iv) Report bugs and errors to development teams. (v) Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. (vi) Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements. (vii) Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. (viii)Help troubleshoot issues Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing. (ix) Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. (x) Should be able to work in flexible shifts as per requirements of ongoing projects. Requirements ● Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role ( two years minimum). ● Experience in QA methodology. ● Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus. ● Ability to document and troubleshoot errors. ● Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Jira, FreshDesk, Zephyr or any equivalent tool) ● Excellent communication skills ● Attention to detail ● Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude ● Strong organizational skills ● B.Sc/B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field ● Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B system testing (ERP-like).
