variables?

f. When a LPP have unbounded solution? [2] 3 2

Group-B (Answer three questions.) 3x6

Q.No. Questions Marks COs BTL

(A)Use Graphical method to solve the LPP [6] 1 3

Maximize Z=6x+4y
Subjected to : 2x+y≤ 2 , x-y≤ 2 , 3x+2y≤ 9
And x,y≥ 0
2. OR
(B)Solve the following LPP by Simplex method
Maximize Z=3x+2y
Subjected to : x+y≤ 4 , x-y ≤ 2 ,
And x,y≥ 0

(A)Write the procedure for solving LPP by Graphical method ? [6] 2 2

OR
3.
(B) Write the procedure for mathematical formulation of a LPP ?

A) A paper mill produces two grades of paper namely X and Y. Owing to raw [6] 3 6
material restrictions, it cannot produce more than 400 tons of grade X and 300
tons of grade Y in a week .There are 160 production hours in a week .It requires
0.2 & 0.4 hours to produce a ton of products X & Y respectively with
corresponding profits of Rs. 200 & Rs. 500 per ton. Formulate the above as a
LPP to maximize profit?
OR
(B) A farmer has 500 acres of land on which we can grow paddy costs Rs
4. 1000/- for preparation requires 7 man days of work and yields a profit of
Rs300/-. Each acre of wheat costs Rs1200/-. Each acre of soya bean costs
Rs800/- for preparation, requires 6 man days of work and yields a profit of
Rs300/-. If the farmer has Rs1,00,000/- for Preparation, available 4000 man day
formulate LPP model to allocate the number of Acres to each group to
maximize the total profit?
