Month 1: AS Theory + Programming Foundation

Weeks 1–2:

o Simple pseudocode exercises

Weeks 3–4:

• Theory:

o Databases + SQL

o Networking & protocols

o Data types, error checking

• Programming:

o Functions & modular programming

o Tracing pseudocode
o Binary & linear search

• Past Papers:

o Daily Paper 1 short questions

o Timed Paper 2 programming tasks

Month 2: Algorithms + Start A2 Theory

Weeks 5–6:

• Theory:

o Quick AS recap

o Architecture & assembly

o Operating systems & interrupts

• Programming:

o Merge, insertion, bubble sort

o Recursion + trace tables

o Complex file tasks

• Past Papers:

o Paper 2 + light Paper 4 logic tasks

Weeks 7–8:

• Theory:

o Processor structure (registers, buses)

o Assembly language (basics)

o Logic design & simplification

• Programming:

o Advanced pseudocode

o Stack & queue

o OOP basics (classes, attributes)


• Past Papers:

o Timed Paper 1 & 2

o Start tackling Paper 4

Month 3: Deep A2 Content + Mock Practice

Weeks 9–10:

• Theory:

o Databases (normalisation, indexing, ACID)

o Networking layers (TCP/IP)

o Software design principles

o Ethics, AI & machine learning

• Programming:

o OOP (inheritance, encapsulation)

o Trees & graphs

o Advanced recursion

• Past Papers:

o Full Paper 3 theory

o Alternate between Paper 2 & 4

Weeks 11–12:

• Review:

o A2 theory review

o Toughest programming topics

o Practice Paper 4 logic & debugging

• Mock Exams:

o Full Paper 1 → Paper 2 → Paper 3 → Paper 4 (repeat cycle)


Month 4: Final Exam Sim + High-Level Review

Weeks 13–14:

• Rotate full papers:

o Paper 1 ➝ Paper 3 ➝ Paper 2 ➝ Paper 4

• Polish:

o Long-answer structure

o Time management

o Mark scheme keywords

Weeks 15–16:

• Review model answers

• Use flashcards for definitions

• Fix weak areas

• Stay sharp & confident
