Safety and Health The course leads to the NEBOSH National General Certificate (Level 3) in Occupational Health and Safety

INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

(NEBOSH) The NEBOSH IGC is a special training course that covers a wide range of topics that help one draw a specialization in the fields of health and safety.
The qualification features among the very few that serve as a measuring yardstick for employers to understand their legal and moral responsibilities
in-depth. Besides, they also contribute towards the growth of the individual concerned in the fields of personality development and qualitative
reasoning and these these attributes are considered essential for any learner to excel in their respective fields.

INTERNATIONAL The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is an esteemed independent examination board that is based out of

Successful completion of the course involves the completing

a) IGC 1 - The learning program of 4 weeks plus an open book assessment

STUDENT COURSE b) IGC 2 – Practical Assessment

• The aim of this assessment is for you to practically apply the knowledge and understanding that you have gained from your
studies.

• You will need to do a risk assessment of your workplace and submit your findings in the formats that will be shared with you

Before you start both the assessment, you must have completed your studies of the whole of the IGC syllabus (elements 1 to 11).

The marking of final assessments is done by NEBOSH board in UK for every unit paper attended.

Part 1

The total number of marks available in IGC1 is 100. (Online assessment)

To pass the exam you need to achieve 45/100 or more (i.e. 45% or more)

If you do not receive the minimum mark, you will receive a referral and you will need to retake the exam

Part 2

IGC2 is a risk assessment

The aim of this assessment is for you to practically apply the knowledge and understanding that you have gained from your studies. IG2 guide line
provide clear idea how to conduct the risk assessment. This will be assessed by Nebosh. If your assessment does not meet the criteria set out by
Nebosh, you will receive a referral and need to repeat the assessment.
