At the end of this lesson, the learners should be able to do the following:
● Identify the negative effects of bullying, harassment, discrimination, and other
violent behaviors on personal well-being.
● Recognize the importance of assertive behavior and life skills in preventing and
dealing with bullying, harassment, discrimination, and violence.
● Demonstrate assertive behavior and life skills to prevent and address instances
of bullying, harassment, discrimination, and violent behaviors constructively
and confidently.

Instructions

1. Form small groups with 4–5 members in each group.


2. Each group will take turns selecting an emotion card without showing it to the
others.
3. One student from the group will silently act out the emotion on the card while
the rest guesses what emotion is being portrayed.
4. After guessing correctly, the group briefly discusses a scenario that might evoke
that emotion and how they would respond.
5. Rotate roles until everyone has had a chance to act out an emotion.

● Mental health: Victims of bullying are at increased risk for mental health
issues, such as depression, anxiety, and other stress-related disorders. They
might feel constantly on edge, have trouble sleeping, or lose interest in
activities they once enjoyed.

● Emotional health: Bullying can also take a toll on a person’s emotional


well-being. Victims may experience feelings of loneliness, sadness, and
helplessness. They might feel worthless and have low self-esteem.

● School performance: Bullying can affect a student’s ability to concentrate


and perform well in school. They might have lower grades, skip classes, or
even drop out.

● Relationships: The effects of bullying can extend to a victim’s relationships
