Spinal Cord Stimulation Research Paper
Spinal Cord Stimulation Trial Information

WHAT IS A SPINAL CORD STIMULATION TRIAL?

A spinal cord stimulation trial is a test to see whether a spinal cord stimulator reduces your pain. A
spinal cord stimulator is a small device that is attached to your back or inserted (implanted) in your
back. The stimulator has small wires (leads) that connect it to your spinal cord. The stimulator sends
electrical pulses through the leads to the spinal cord. This can relieve pain. Your health care
provider may suggest a spinal cord stimulation trial if other treatments for chronic pain have not
worked for you. Spinal cord stimulation may be used to manage pain that is caused by:
Coronary artery disease.
Failed back surgery.
Phantom limb sensation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Make sure to write down the following information so that you can share this information with your
health care provider:
○ Your responses to the stimulator, as told by your health care provider.
○ Your pain level throughout the day.
○ The amount and kind of pain medicine that you take.
Take over the counter and prescription medicines only as told by your health care provider.
Do not take baths, swim, or use a hot tub until your health care provider approves.
Tell all health care providers who care for you that you have a spinal cord stimulator. This is
important information that could affect the medical treatment that you receive.
Keep all follow up visits as told by your health care provider. This is important.

Peter Pan Reflection
Altering Tink Sam Taylor (CEO), once said, If we aren t willing to change and keep up with
innovation someone else will. If someone isn t motivated to move forward and create new ideas,
there will be someone else that will succeed in their place. People need change sometime, or their
lives would be dull, static, and boring. Change is crucial to a person s life to show dynamic
differences in their characteristics. It is important for people to be flexible and open minded in
different experiences to handle future circumstances. Change is the key to determine one s future. In
J.M. Barrie s Peter Pan, the character Tinker Bellis dynamic as illustrated by her words, actions, and
motivations. To start, Tinker Bell is shown to be dynamic depicted through her unkind words. An
example of this from the book is when Tink treats Wendy offensively by calling her ugly: He had
to translate. She is not very polite. She says you are a great ugly girl, and that she is my fairy(Barrie
27). Tinker Bell is shown to be uncivil and boorish towards Wendy by calling her ugly. As a
perfect antagonist, she creates tension and suspense in the story with her threats towards Wendy.
Without remorse, Tink doesn t even apologize to Wendy. With this type of behavior, she shows
her nasty side, her lack of concern for her feelings, and how she may have hurt them. However,
while Tinker Bell expressed in words, her more cruel side, being churlish towards Wendy, that
doesn t represent her whole self. Next, Tinker Bell illustrates her dynamic self through her
actions towards other characters, like Peter. For instance, when Tink plays the role of protagonist
towards Peter by saving his life: No time for words now; time for deeds;and with one of her
lightning movements Tink got between his lips and the draught, and drained it to the dregs
(121). Tink flew in front of Peter s lips before he could drink the poison knowing it could kill
either Peter or herself depending on who drank it. Tinker Bell shows a caring and selfless side
through an action that could kill her, but her love for Peter was so strong, she had no choice. This
makes her a protagonist. All in all, she was Peter s hero that night, and this explains how Tink is not
Essay on Ancient Greece
Ancient Greece

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

The Ancient Greek civilization was located on today s Greek land, Ionian Islands, Asia Minor, South
Italy, and Sicily. It is surrounded by mountains and in the north by water. The Ionian and the Aegean
seas, together with natural islands and bays, gave the Greeks the opportunety to develop their
maritime commerce and their rich culture. The mountains, which surrounded Greece, gave us the
picture of its political character.

From early times, the Greeks lived in independet settlements, and they were isolated from one
another. Later, this settelments grew up into poles or city states.

3. THE EARLY ARCHAIC PERIOD (700 600 BC)

Durin the Early Archaic period, the concept of polis became very developed. The Greeks continued
with colonialization. Locations, such as Cyrene on the North African cost and Massilia in southern
France became Greeks colonies. One may say that Greeks suddenly began to launch these overseas
projects. The commercial trade between Greece and Egypt, Anatolia and the Levant, developed.
Because of this imports from the eastern parts of the world, one could feel the eastern culture impact
on Greeks architecture and sculpture. This period had also the significant impact on Greeks
architecture; the first Greek monumental stone sculpture appeared, and the Doric and Ionic
architectural orders were born.

4. THE ARCHAIC PERIOD (600 479 BC)

Eventhough the most powerful and the most important city states were ruled by tyrants they
continued to rise. The Greeks adopted a massive buildingn program, and the Attica region started to
dominate in the pottery market for about the whole century. By the beginning of the Archaic period
large statues of nudes of males kuroi and draped femaled korai were produced. In those times, huge
tamples with cult images were built all around the Greek Empire.

Troubles came from the east ant the west. The Persians wanted to take controll over the Greek land,
but finally the Persians lost their fight. The Greeks
The Income Statements, Balance Sheet, And Statement Of...
Income Statements Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
Financial statements are very important for decision makers in the business world. They inform the
firm s owners, lenders and managers of the performance of the company and their employees.
Standardized financial statements make for financial transparency between all businesses and
sectors of business. Financial statements are important to companies not only to measure
performance but to obtain capital through debt and equity. The main financial statements used by all
companies, private and public, are the balance sheet, income statement (profit and loss statement),
and statement of cash flows. Companies also use financial ratios to determine if they are performing
to standards and are determine if they are increasing revenues sufficiently with the amount of
expenses and debt taken on.
Income Statement
The income statement measures the flow of business activity by comparing revenues to the
expenses over a period of time, as opposed to the momentary status of the business at a point in time
(Brian P. Brinig, 2011). The income statement is important because it lists the amount of expenses
that were incurred to create the revenues of the company. The biggest typical expenses for a
company are the cost of goods sold, advertising and promotion, depreciation, wages and salaries, and
rent.
Balance Sheet
A balance sheet lists assets, liabilities and equity of a business at a single point in
Comparing Characters In Macbeth And The Social Network
Comparing Characters in Macbeth and The Social Network

Similarities and differences are present between nearly anything. For instance, two books can be
compared in regards to their themes. Likewise, multiple people can be contrasted in regards to
their personality. Similarities and differences can be good and bad and they can also help one to
clearly see which of the subjects that are being compared are better than the other. Another example
of where two subjects can be compared is in Macbeth and The Social Network, in regards to the
characters. One may wonder how such different pieces of work could possibly be compared and
contrasted, but after analyzing both pieces, it is clear that such similarities and differences exist.
Characters ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows how their idea, if successful, would make them rich and potential billionaires, given
their past work and their intelligence. Through both of these examples, it is clear that both the
twins and Malcolm are very close to being on top. However, it is evident that the situation in
Macbeth is worse than in The Social Network, because for Malcolm and Donalbain, this power has
put them at risk. Since Duncan has been murdered, they must flee to keep themselves safe. Unlike
for the twins, the only thing that they had at stake was their idea for HarvardConnection being
stolen. In this situation, Shakespeare makes the reader more sympathetic for Donalbain and
Malcolm than Sorkin does for the Winklevoss twins. This shows how although both characters are
similar, their situations are very different and the characters in Macbeth have it worse. Secondly,
Lady Macbeth and Sean Parker are two characters that are similar in the sense that they are the real
people in control behind the scenes. Although everyone may think that Macbeth is strong and a
good leader, Lady Macbeth controls him and convinces him to commit terrible crimes. One of Lady
Macbeth s way of controlling Macbeth is to question his manhood. Lady Macbeth expressed her
thoughts of Macbeth as:
... do I fear thy nature; It is too full o th milk of human kindness To catch the
Articular Cartilage Injuries
1.Title of the article: Basic Science and Treatment Options for Articular Cartilage Injuries

2.Explain the purpose(s) of this article:

The ultimate purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the different treatment options for
articular cartilage lesions. The authors characterize the treatment objectives as palliative, reparative,
or restorative, noting that the various treatment options can overlap in terms of objective. The
options described by the authors, along a continuum of palliative to restorative, include arthroscopic
lavage and debridement, microfracture, autologous chondrocyte implantation, and osteochondral
grafting. In order to optimize reader understanding of the indications and contraindications for each
of the treatment options, the authors also include a brief anatomical review of articular cartilage,
which includes the grading and epidemiology of chondral lesions, as well as the ... Show more

Articular cartilage is organized into four different layers/zones: superficial (tangential), middle
(transitional), deep (radial), and calcified. The cellular structure of each layer is slightly different
and corresponds to its role and type of force that it can withstand; the superficial layer has parallel
alignment to withstand shear forces, the middle layer begins to resist compressive forces with a
more oblique orientation, and the deep layer has a perpendicular alignment that largely resists
compression. The calcified layer is where the cartilage connects to bone tissue, and is separated
from the deep layer by the tidemark, which is a region of parallel oriented fibers to reduce shear
force. Since grading of chondral lesions (commonly on a Grade 0 4 scale) is based upon the depth
of injury, it is important to understand these specialized
Analysis Of Frankenstein And The Island Of Dr. Moreau....
Throughout history we have had times of innovation and creation, we have tried to control nature
and have succeeded in some aspects, however; humans are not truly sovereign over nature, and we
have never achieved a perfect creation. In both Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, and The Island of Dr.
Moreau by H.G Wells, man s creation ends up destroying them which essentially symbolizes that
man cannot truly act as a godbecause he will surely fail in a catastrophic manner, almost as if man
is being punished for acting as a false god; it is also shown in both stories that the creations that
man makes are attempts to manipulate and master nature, and we see that whenever man even
slightly gives up his control it can lead to unforeseen, almost cataclysmic consequences. These
ideas are most clearly displayed by H.G Wells in The Island of Dr.Moreau, because Moreau
believes that he is above nature and can control the wild instincts of the beast men, and he also
displays himself as a god to the beast men. In Frankensteinthese ideas are more implicitly shown.
H.G Wells does a better job overall of displaying these ideas In The Island Of Dr. Moreau as it is
more explicit when showcasing these ideas. One of the main ideas that is common to both of the
novels is that when man takes the role of a creator or deity upon himself that he fails
catastrophically, almost as if man is punished for this. In The Island of Dr. Moreau, it is apparent
that Moreau created the beast men so he could rule
