Respected Sir,

We are delighted to introduce you to a Ministry of Education, Government of India program providing IT skills job-
oriented courses training. The reason to approach the Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam for Spoken Tutorial
as a Knowledge Partner, is so that the reach, awareness and spread of ST training is much faster and reaches
many more colleges via the University. We were happy to note that our programs are in line with some of your
Mission / Vision objectives, to facilitate job-oriented skill training for each and every student in the state. We are
actively working with Universities in this State and other states too. Please find below the given program details.

Introduction:
This program offers, audio-video (Spoken), training tutorials on various Software to students. This is a successful
and very necessary IT/Software/E-Tutor course MOOC program being offered by none less than Spoken Tutorial
(ST) Project, IIT Bombay (www.spoken-tutorial.org). Spoken Tutorial Project started in 2009, was established with
funding from the Ministry of Education, Government of India (previously MHRD).

The program provides Open-Source Software training to colleges all over India and has been hugely successful in
terms of over 75+ courses being offered covering all the states. To date, we have trained over 84+ lakh participants
nationwide in the distance-learning method. We are also accepted formally as Knowledge Partner to over 125 state
affiliating universities and most state higher and technical education departments. In Assam, 1.4 lakh students and
faculty have been trained. The learning is managed well in the remote or distance manner and faculties and students
learn on their own at home.

Advantages:
• Students can learn on their own through an innovative audio-video e-tutor in English, Hindi, Assamese or
other regional languages. No expert needed, minimum faculty involvement & minimal academic disruption
in lab/ college.
• Students trained in a wide range of courses like LibreOffice (Office automation software), Animation
packages, Blender, Multimedia, Programming languages C, C++/Java etc. to become skilled and improve
their academic and job prospects. We have 75+ Software Courses right from Basic IT to Programming to
Multimedia etc.
• Training on various lucrative ST-based IT courses to be deployed in the colleges and course syllabus to
promote innovation in learning & teaching methodology and enrich the curriculum. Opportunity to take
relevant ST Courses (IT, CS etc.) per the university/ college syllabus as a valuable e-resource.
• Colleges can satisfy their MOOCs’ requirement recently announced by NEP, AICTE & UGC through ST
• Use of Open-source software which Govt. of India including the Assam State Govt., is promoting for
colleges and e-governance
• Effective cost of the program is very nominal and affordable

Cost of Program: Rs. 29,500 per institution per year for training an unlimited number of students
