Process Oriented Storage Control ( Rule Based )
Process Oriented Storage Control ( Rule Based )
A retail distribution centre receives goods from vendors that require special processing
before they are stored:
• The goods are unloaded
• Mixed HU pallets are deconsolidated
• Price labels (VAS) are applied to certain articles
• Then the goods are put away in final storage bins
Assign the external steps to the storage process sequentially based on the flow
i.e : Unloading→ Deconsolidation→ VAS → Putaway
Step 3: Determine Warehouse process type:
As the first step in POSC is unloading, we have assigned the source storage type
as Door storage type ( FADR ) and Bin ( FADR-DOOR-BIN-01)
Assign S1 Indicator in Product master to determine warehouse process type in
the Inbound delivery.
T code : /N/SCWM/MAT1
Step 4: Deconsolidation step
In the current process, multiple products are packed together within a single
handling unit (carton box) during inbound delivery. However, as per our
warehouse operational requirements, these products must be stored separately
in two different storage types based on product characteristics
Storage type Role : Work Centre ( E )
Storage Bin: /SCWM/LS01
Note: 3040 ( Repack WPT ) is a SAP Standard
This is the layout of Deconsolidation table where products can be unpacked and
re-packed.
Step 1 : Create a Inbound delivery with VL31N and pack the parts in Carton Box.
Based on our rule for Carton Box it is determined.
/N/SCWM/MON – Warehouse monitor to track the movement of the HU’s.
After confirming the warehouse order 2 Putaway task and 1 Task for Deconsolidation is
created
It is now available at Decon Work centre
