Car Security System

This document describes a car security system project that uses mobile devices and a microcontroller to detect car theft and control the car remotely. It detects theft by comparing the cell IDs of the user's mobile and a mobile device in the car. If theft is detected, the user can access a program on their mobile to send encoded messages to the car's microcontroller to trigger actions like locking doors, honking the horn, and disabling the car. The system was designed and built using a microcontroller, mobile devices, hardware components, and tools like a PCB board burner. Potential extensions include adding more security features and commercializing the system.

Introduction:

The main idea of the project, is detecting the cases of car theft if occurred, then controlling the car to perform some operations by a mobile device.
!! Stolen !!!
Stopped

Alarm.. Stop!!!

Detection:

Getting cell ID of the users Mobile. Getting the cell ID of the mobile board in the car

Sending the two Cell IDs to a server

Updating a database with the new cell IDs.

Applying a simple algorithm to detect the theft case.

Sending Both Cell IDs

User Access Program:

User Access Program:

The user receives an alarm SMS from the server, So hell access this program which could be considered as the link between him and the MC in the car. Some options and features created by the J2ME program, and finally an encoded SMS sent to the Mobile Board in the car stands for some operations to be applied in the car.

Controlling Techniques:

Controlling Techniques

After Detection we control the stolen car.

Microcontroller is the brain of the controlling process

The microcontroller receives the encoded SMS through mobile device connected through the UART connection. Mobile device modem communicate with AT Commands with the MC.

Microcontroller action:

STOP

Lock doors

Initiate Call

Power down

Alarm
