Application
Polymer cutout HRW series are designed to provide protection to the lines of your systems and distribution transformer against overload and short circuit damage.

Our polymer cutouts are pre-assembled to reduce your installation time.

Ratings
We are able to offer several frame sizes to properly match each system BIL. Each fuse cutout support has universal contacts that accommodate a 100 A fuseholder, a 200 A fuseholder

Interchangability
Our polymer cutout are designed to be electrically and mechanically interchangeable with the S&C type "XS", A.B. Chance type "C", ABB type "ICX" and Cooper type "L" cutouts, as well as all other fuse cutouts produced in accordance with the IEC 282, IEEE C37.41 and C37.42 standards.

Efficient Current Transfer


HRW Polymer cutout has an copper current path and all contacts are silver plated. Terminals are tin plated brass alloy for use with copper or aluminum conductors

Loadbreak Hooks
Standard galvanised steel hooks are fitted on HRW series cutouts for the use with a portable Loadbuster tool. The hooks are mounted under the top contact and serve as a guide for the fuse holder when closing at an off center angle.

Top Contact
The top contact is designed to provide a smooth self aligning action during closing. The top contact is made of high quality brass alloy strip with silver plated embossments for efficient current transfer.

Hinge
The hinge on the cutouts employs a large pivot area for the fuse holders trunnion and is manufactured from brass for its strength and superior electrical properties. The hinge contacts are made of highly conductive copper alloy and silver-plated to ensure an efficient current transfer from the trunnion casting.

Polymer Insulator

Our HRW cutout insulators are manufactured from HTV silicone rubber and have been evaluated with several material and technical analysis tests in accordance with OEM and ODM of polymer fuse cutout, IEC 61109-Annex C and ANSI C29-13-2000 Tracking & and polymer cutout insulator are available. Erosion resistance. Creepage distances range from 360mmTongyi Power All Rights Reserved 960mm with different BIL.

Polymer fuse cutout insulator provides higher tensile strength, better flexibility, higher resistance to UV degradation and outstanding performace in highly polluted areas and other tough conditions . Polymer Cutout insulators in different sizes can be manufactured separately upon request.

Fuse Tube
The inside diameter of the 100A fuse tube increases the internal pressure,providing excellent and reliable expilsion action. The fuse tube is composed of a horn fiber liner surrounded by fiberflass wound outer shell with UV resistant coating,which permits a smaller bore and provides a higher burst strength.

Terminals
Tin plated copper alloy parallel groove type terminals are standard on HRW cutouts. They can accommodate aluminium or copper conductor sizes ranging from D6-D15mm. The parallel groove terminal is designed to accommodate two different size conductors, as is the case when arrestors are being used.

Higher interrupt capacities


By using a copper arc-shortening rod attached to the dome nut inside the top of the fuse tube, lowering the fuse link, higher interrupt ratings are obtainable. It is necessary to use fuse links with removable button heads when using an arcshortening rod.

Brackets
All mounting brackets are made of 304/314 steel and hot dip galvanised in compliance with ISO 1461. Stainless steel materials option is also available upon your request.
