Why is written communication important to organisations?

All organisations require up-to-date information to operate efficiently. Written communication is importance in the workplace because it allows people to pass along information that can be studied or reviewed later.

Why an engineer must be able to write well?

Most professionals in the engineering and technology fields spend as much as 20% or more of their time writing. A successful engineering career requires strong writing skills. Engineers need to write many kinds of documents.

Writing is a very complex activity. To produce an effective piece of writing, you need to: possess the ability to read and think critically. master the writing convention have a good understanding of the fundamentals of writing.
