PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES
Oct. 22 MON Boca Raton FL Lynn University Schieffer CBS foreign policy TV Channels Each debate will be broadcast live on C-SPAN, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as all cable news channels including CNN, Fox News and MSNBC among others. INVISIBLE CHILDREN
The second meeting of Invisible Children will be held at 7AM on Tuesday, October 9 in Ms. Drakes room (1514). We will be discussing our upcoming benefit dinner and the screening of the new Invisible Children movie, Move.

JOIN REDEFINING BEAUTIFUL


Interested in joining a club that promotes inner beauty and self-confidence? Then join Redefining Beautiful! Club is open to both boys AND girls. Attend our next Redefining Beautiful meeting on Thurs., Oct. 11 in rm 1514 at 7AM. We will be discussing the purchase of club T-Shirts and possible community service projects for the upcoming year.

COMPUTER SCIENCE
Computer Science teams were the Sweepstakes winners at the Waller High School Computer Science competition this weekend. We had 7 teams of 3 students each competing.

REDEFINING BEAUTIFUL
There will be a Redefining Beautiful officer meeting on Monday, October 1st at 7AM in room 1514. Please plan on attending! If you cannot attend, please notify an officer or Ms. Drake. (this announcement can be cut after Monday)

REDEFINING BEAUTIFUL
Do you want to join a group that emphasizes inner and outer beauty? If so, our first Redefining Beautiful meeting of the school year will be on Tuesday, October 2nd at 2:50 in room 1514. We will be discussing ideas for T-Shirts and ideas for community service projects.

NHS INFO
NHS -Tuesday Oct., 2 at 2:45 pm in the auditorium. Current members, please plan to attend. If unable to attend, go to make-up meeting Wed., Oct. 3 in Mrs. Goldens room 1510. Dues are due on Tuesday Oct. 2. You can turn them in during all lunches on Tuesday on the stage or at the actual meeting. Make sure they are in a sealed envelope with your name on it.

INAUGURATION TRIP
Mrs. Harrison is taking a group to Washington D.C. for the inauguration January 19-22, 2013 $99 registration fee is due FridaySeptember 28. stop by 1314 or ask your Social Studies teacher if you have more questions.

QUIZ BOWL COMING!


Are you interested in international affairs? Do you read the news daily? Do you enjoy world geography? If so, then come Thursday afternoon to Mrs. Badillos room and learn about our competitive World Quest Quiz Bowl team and UIL Current Events Team! We will be having tryouts soon so hurry!

Clements Academic Speech Team captured the golden knight as winners of the first place sweepstakes award. In addition, two members of the team gained additional points needed to qualify for the Texas Forensic Association State Meet. Taylor Horton and Ziyaad Khayrattee will compete in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at South Grand Prairie in March of 2013.

tutorial buses
The tutorial buses run on Tuesday & Thursday every week unless notified. departure time is around 4:35pm on the bus ramp. The bus drivers would like the students to have a pass to get on the bus. passes in the attendance office.

We are in need of student tutors that know Chinese, Spanish, or Gujarati languages to assist ESL students before and after school. Student tutors will get YES hours for tutoring. See Mrs. Halimi in room 2520

Clements DECA has started again! Theyre a business club thats all about having fun, competing, and volunteering. Last year they were the seventh largest chapter in the nation, and theyre reaching for number one! If youre not sure what its about, they have Q&A Sessions every Wednesday after school in Room 2815
