Checking IUB TransportOption


To check IP transport option is already activated
RBS> get Iub TransportOption

SyncStatus check
To check synch status RBS NTP server
RBS> lget IpSyncRef ntpServerIpAddress|syncStatus

(1) Ping check RBS - Router


To check ping status from RBS to Router RBS> get IpInterface defaultRouter0

RBS> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

(2) Ping check RBS - RNC


Check ping status from RBS to RNC (Second IP)
Get RNC Ethernet IP Adress RNC> lget IpAccessHostEt ipAddress

Check ping status from RBS to RNC (First IP address)

RBS> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

Check ping status from RBS to RNC (Second IP adress) RBS> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

(3) Ping check RNC - Router


To check ping status from RNC to RBS
Get the router IP address RNC> lget InternalEthernetPort defaultRouter0

Check ping status on first router RNC> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

Check ping status on second router RNC> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

(4) Ping check RNC - RBS


To check ping status from RNC to RBS
Get RBS ethernet IP Address RBS> lget IpAccessHostEt=Slot-2$ ipAddress

Ping status from RNC to RBS

RNC> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

(5) Ping check RBS - NTPserver


To check ping status from RNC to RBS
Get NTP server IP Address
RBS> lget IpAccessHostEt ntpServerIpAddress

Ping status from RBS to first NTP server RBS> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

Ping status from RBS to second NTP server RBS> lacc IpAccessHostEt ping

Current active alarm check


Check current alarm state

RBS> alt

ET-MFX Board check


Check ET-MFX board status RBS> lst Subrack=1,Slot=2,PlugInUnit=1$

IpInterface check
Check IpINterface status

RBS> lst IpInterface

EthernetSwitchPort check
Check EthernetSwitchPort status

RBS> lst EthernetSwitchPort

Ping test from EMAS

EMAS can be also used for UP ping tests

Ping test from EMAS

Add CP address and Execute

Traceroute Command
$ traceroute <IP address>
This command is useful to trace the IP route from one node

to a destination IP address. In case of routing issues (ARP table corruption, server down, ...) traceroute makes it easier to find the exact point of disconnectivity.

NTP Alarm
Sample of NTP alarm occur on RBS

Action:
Check the NTP server address is correct Ping check from RBS to NTP Server

Restart ET-MFX board


Plug-unplug Ethernet port Plug-unplug ET-MFX board Replace ET-MFX board

Troubleshooting Guide
Follow ALEX documentation for clearing any alarm

occur on the node. Escalate to next level support if the alarm/problem still occur.
