Animals in Danger of Extinction

Many animal species are endangered due to factors like climate change, habitat loss, and poaching. Elephants are threatened by climate change, deforestation, and poachers seeking ivory. Orangutans often perish in forest fires caused by climate change in their Indonesian island habitat. Penguins in Antarctica face extinction from global warming, which is occurring five times faster at the poles. Whales are endangered by hunting, pollution, climate change effects like El Nino, and oil spills from ships. Polar bears will lose their sea ice habitat entirely by mid-century if Arctic ice melt continues at its current rate of 9% per decade.

SEA TURTLE

THE PENGUIN
The four main species of penguins living in Antarctica are
threatened with extinction because of global warming
Heating is five times faster at the poles than in the rest of
the planet.
Another serious problem is oil spills, by the freighters,
which extend around the globe.

THE WHALE
Commercial and for "research" by Japan, hunting
maritime traffic, pollution of the seas, climate change and
phenomena such as "El Nio" or "La Nia" threaten the
lives of whales in the world.
the humpback, blue, frank, fin, sei and sperm whales.

THE RHINO
The fact that the rhino has no natural predators should
mean they are safe in their natural habitat. Unfortunately,
it is not like that at all, because the humans have
destroyed and continue to do so in massive numbers.

THE TOUCAN
Toucan habitat are the jungles and rain forests. Their diet
consists mainly of fruit, although it may choose to eat the
eggs of other species.
Today this majestic species is endangered, given the
change in the dwelling and the slow reproduction cycle
that has, in which only lays 2 eggs and climate change
hardly make it to term.

SNAKE
Snakes are threatened by the alteration or destruction of
their habitat, catches looking for their skin and meat, the
pet trade, use in medicine, the introduction of predators
and abuse.
Perhaps even more important it is that snakes are victims
of persecution for fear, and because in some religions
symbolize evil.

THE BENGAL TIGER

The Bengal tiger is, after the Siberian tiger, the second
species of the world's largest tiger.
Due to climate change and sea level rise about 70% of its
habitat could be lost before 2060. His current situation is
alarming and that is why they have created new reserves
for preservation in India.

THE POLAR BEAR

The ice of the Arctic Ocean melts at an average of 9%
every ten years. According to these estimates, the Arctic
could lose its summer ice mass in the middle of this
century.
Polar bears belong to a species that depends entirely on
the existence of frozen sea.
They use the ice as a floating platform from which they
can hunt seals
