Environmental policy is the commitment of an organization to the laws, regulations, and other policy mechanisms concerning environmental issues. These issues generally include air and water pollution, waste management, ecosystem management, maintenance of biodiversity, the protection of natural resources, wildlife and endangered species.[1] What is economic consideration? :An economy or economic system consists of the production, distribution or trade, and consumption of limited goods and services by different agents in a given geographical location. Element (Economic Sustainability) Criteria Means Growth Expand green zones to Development safeguard open space . Productivity Enlarge the amount of per capita Trickle down green space Enact regulations to protect every urban tree Allow poor to swap their garbage for food . Encourage residents to separate their garbage. Set up programs to recycle recyclables Produce civic theater to promote recycling Environmental policy in Japan Protecting environmental quality of water 1. Policy measure for household wastewater - To treat wastewater from household, government has been promoting the sewage system. The financial support provided by the central government. 2. Monitoring and publicizing water quality. - government monitor the quality of water according to the method set by MOE. MOE will collect and publicizes the result related to water quality to raise public awareness. Protecting environmental quality of atmosphere.
