ADOBE PREMIERE PRO
HOLLYWOOD AND PREMIERE PRO
In recent years, Hollywood has been turning to
Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing. “Gone Girl”, “Deadpool” and “Hail Caesar” were all edited using Premiere Pro. To read how Premiere Pro was used in these films, read this article: https://motionarray.com/blog/how-hollywood- is-turning-to-premiere-pro Assignment: Create a video on COMPASSION and upload it to YouTube Many “youtubers” use Premiere Pro for their video editing. The assignment is to create a 3-5 min video demonstrating compassion.
My example video is a compilation
of clips of one of my dogs who shows a lot of love and compassion for her humans. She reminds me to be patient, kind, and have compassion for others. PREMIERE PRO IN 20 MINS!

● Organize your files
Rename and color code! This tip will save you time and frustration. By color coding bin files, the elements from the differing bins will be color-coded when placed on the timeline. ● Master clip Effects Use this feature to apply color effects onto a series of clips instead of copying and pasting the same effect onto multiple clips. You can do the same thing with adjustment layers. ● Quick Copy If you want to copy a clip, instead of “cutting and pasting” hold the Option (Mac) or Alt Key (PC), click and then drag the copy on the timeline. ● Moving a series of clips to insert a new one If you have a lot of clips in your timeline and need to insert another clip, instead of zooming out and highlighting many clips select the spot you want to insert your clip: hold the “a” key, two arrows should appear and everything to the right of the spot is highlighted. You may then drag the clips to the right. For the left, hold “shift’ + “a” and the arrows will be on the left of the spot. If you press “a” and that doesn’t happen, you can change your keyboard settings to set “track select forward” or “track select backwards” to whatever hot key you’d prefer. ● Locking layers You can lock adjustment and audio layers to avoid cutting them if you are cutting video clips and don’t want to mess up your other layers. ● For more helpful tutorials, see this article: https://www.bittbox.com/gallery/adobe-premiere-tutorial SCREENCAST TUTORIALS ● In these screencasts, I cover many of the basic functions in Premiere Pro:
