PP Math6 QTR2W7 Day 1

The document discusses integers and their properties: 1) It describes integers as the positive numbers to the right of zero on the number line and negative numbers to the left of zero. 2) Examples of real-life situations involving integers include gaining/losing weight, moving forward/backward, travelling upstream/downstream. 3) Key concepts are introduced, such as positive/negative integers, opposites, and comparing integers based on their position on the number line.

How does your mother budget your
family income?(p.47 TG)
1. How much is your family monthly income?
2.What are the things that make up your
monthly expenses? List them down with

3.What is the total amount of your family’s
monthly income?
4. Is it more than or less than your family’s
monthly income?
5. What happens if your expenses are more
than your family’s income? Do you still have
savings?
Presenting examples/ instances of the new
lesson

Using your given data choose asset of

integers wherein the total amount of expenses is
greater than the monthly income. From hence,
this explain that such situation requires the
existence of negative numbers.
What are negative numbers?
What are positive numbers?
Presenting examples/ instances of the new
lesson (p.145.txb)

This morning your mother gave you P30.00

as your allowance.During recess time your went
to the school canteen to buy your snack. The
folllowing are the prices of the snacks: Sandwich

Will your allowance be enough to buy all desired
snacks?
Real life situation can be
represented by integers.

Explain the content in
their MAthletes
textbook pp. 146-149
- Integers greater than zero are called positive integers;
These integers are found on the right side of zero on the
number line.
- Integers less than zero are called negative integers; These
integers are found on the left side of zero on the number
line.
-Integer Zero is neutral. It is neither positive nor negative..
-When comparing 2 integers with the same signs, that one
that is farther to the right on the number line is the greater
integer.
-The sign of an integer is either positive(+) or negative (-)
except zero which has no sign.
-When comparing 2 integers with the same signs, that one
that is farther to the right on the number line is the greater
integer.
-Two integers are opposites if they are each of the same
distance from zero. They are on opposite sides of the
number line. One has a positive sign, the other a negative
sign.
-Any integer has its own opposite. The opposite of +7 is -7.
The opposite of +8 is -8. Two integers are opposites if they
are of the same distance from 0.
