Goal Setting

• Goal setting is the process of identifying


something that you want to accomplish….

Story 
Why don’t more people set goals?
• A pessimistic attitude
• Fear of failure
• A lack of knowledge about goal-setting
• Ignorance of the important of goals
• A lack of ambition
Why set Goals ?
1.You take control of your life
2. You focus on the important things
3. You will make good decisions
4. You can finish the task efficiently
5. You will be self-confident and enthusiastic
6. You will make progress
7. You are closer to success
Meaningless Goals
• Moral of the Story ::
Many people in life pursuing meaningless
goals.
They should First set Meaningful and Realistic
goal and then work to achieve that GOAL.
Why Goals Fail
 The goal was not written down.

 Assume that Rewards for achieving the goals were not given.

 The goal was unrealistic or not specific enough.

 The goal is not really believable or little commitment exists.

 Keep changing or switching goals with the weather

 The person who set the goal has not told anyone else for added

accountability, help and support.

 The goal was not incorporated into a realistic plan that includes

measurements, timelines and resources.


Types of Goals
SMART: Goal Setting Guidelines
S – Specific. For example, “I want to lose weight.” This is wishful
thinking. It becomes a goal when I pin myself down to “I will lose
weight in 90 days.”

M – Must be measurable. If we cannot measure it, we cannot


accomplish it. Measurement is a way of monitoring our progress. For
example, 10 pounds/90 days are measurement.

A – Must be achievable. Achievable means that it should be out of


reach enough to be challenging but it should not be out of sight, Don't
be afraid to challenge yourself to go beyond old limits!

R – Realistic. A person who wants to lose 50 pounds in 30 days is being


unrealistic.
T – Time-bound. There should be a starting date and a finishing date.
SWOT

• SWOT analysis is most helpful in achieving


your goals and as well as your dreams.
“Create a vision of who you want to
be”
• Take out a clean sheet of paper, write down a
description of yourself 10 years in the future.
Who are you?
What does your life look like?
What are you doing? Where?
Who is around you?
Allow yourself to imagine a future in which
failure is impossible, and there are no limits.
2. Contact list

• Contact list is your raw material if you complete your contact list you
are done with 80 % of your work.
• If you have a good sugar factory with latest equipment machines but
without raw material of sugarcane you cannot make sugar.
• Most of people fail in this industry because they do not make their
contact list .
3. KYC and Relationship
• Before sharing idea you must know your clients.
• What he want?
• What he is doing?
• What are his/her aims and dreams in life?
• Relationship means that his/her level of trust and
believe should be at the extent that you will never
cheat him/her.
• Make your relationship more strong so you know
his need and burning desire.
4. Arrange Appointments and
Presentation
• After KYC you have to book your appointments. Which
should be of 1 or 2 hours.
• Always use telephone call for appointment. Call should not
be more then 3 minutes.
• Don’t share anything on call just set time for meeting.
• Just be strict and follow time as decided.
• Be punctual you must be at the venue before 10 minutes.
• Make a reminder call at least 2 hours before meeting time.
• Don’t set 2-3 appointments in one time.
• Always use dairy to book your appointments.
4.Arrange Appointments and
Presentation

• A brief history about company


• Share your company products and tell him
what are the ways to promote.
• Share your compensation plan.
• Be professional and honest.
5. Follow Up
• Schedule time for next meetings after
presentation.
• Update him/her time by time about new
advancement in business also how he can
achieve his dreams.
• Setup your guideline in advance. Solve his
problems by discussing it and finding solutions.
• You should Know when to stop.
• Don’t tell a lie. Whatever you have just share
that.
• Remember if you don’t than someone else will.
Duplication
• Duplicate steps of basic skills.
• Duplicate positive thinking, positive talking,
positive behaving and positive attitude.
• Duplicate training, successful words quotes.
• Duplicate the right approaches for the system
and business.
• Duplicate by presenting role model.
