Volleyball is one of the most popular
game in our country. It helps improve
muscular strength, hand and eye
coordination, reflexes and helps burn body
fat it also help an individual to be engaged
in a physical activity that is fun and
interesting as it provides opportunity to
connect with other people.
It was originally called “Mintonette” and
was invented in 1895 by William G.
Morgan and designed the game to be a
combination of basketball, baseball, tennis
and handball.
Volleyball is an example
of a net and Wall games
wherein the team players
score by hitting or striking a
ball into a court space with
enough accuracy and power
that the opponent cannot
hit it back and make a
return.
Skills involved in Volleyball:
-Forearm pass

-Overhead pass
-Overarm serve

-Underarm serve
-Spiking
Direction: Group the pupils into four.
Give each group different activities to do.
Discuss the activity norms and rules.

Group 1 vs. Group 2 (Boys vs. Boys)


Direction: Perform/Play Volleyball
executing all the skills learned in the lesson.

Group 3 vs. Group 4 (Girls vs. Girls)


Direction: Perform/Play Volleyball
executing all the skills learned in the lesson.
