Industrial Training: Presented By: B.Gowri Sakunthala 153713

This industrial training report discusses quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes. It provides definitions of QA and QC, noting that QA is process-oriented while QC is product-oriented. It also includes a worked table showing time spent on different tasks. The report then discusses various aspects of QA including raw material inspection, in-process inspection, finished product inspection, and calibration. It provides details on raw material inspection processes, components tested, and rejection criteria. Overall, the report provides an overview of QA and QC processes with a focus on raw material inspection.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QA AND
QC....?
A simple and short difference is
QA is Process Oriented and
QC is Product Oriented

RAW MATERIAL INSPECTION
Raw material
inspection is the
inspection done at
the first stage for the
raw materials used
for manufacturing of
products. Because to
avoid the problems
in initial stage, to
save the time &
Improve the quality.

Sampling:-
Sampling is the Process Where Materials are Tested at
Industrial Level...
Sampling plan:-
There are two methods for selecting the sample for
QA inspection one is 100% samples inspection and second one is
selected samples inspection or sampling inspection.
Sampling inspection:-
In total quantity of the item some samples are
inspected is called '' Sampling(Random) inspection ''.
Advantages of Sampling inspection:-
Save time
Increase productivity
 Save effort
100% Inspection:-
It is appliable for all the power supply related modules like SMPS, DC-DC, UPS,
Battery Charcgers, brought out items, etc.
Advantages of 100% inspection:-
 Problems reduced
 Productivity improved

DIFFERENT TYPES OF RAW MATERIAL:
 Resistor  Batteries

 LED's
 Capacitor
 Crystals
 Inductor

 PCB's  Connectors

 Charger  Transformer
 Cables&Wires  Relay
 Solar Charge Controller
 MOV
 DC-DC Converter
 SMPS
 Regulator
 Diode
 Fuses
 Rectifier  UPS...
Different Components Testing
RESISTOR
 Resistor is a Passive Component

 Resistor-Which opposes the flow of current

 Resistor Symbol -

 Unit for Resistor - Ω(ohms)

Circuit For Measuring Resistance Circuit For Wattage test

REJECTION:Wrong part number,Wrong make,Pins rust formation

INDUCTOR
 Inductor opposes the sudden changes in current
 Inductor symbol is
 Inductor Measured in Henrys(H).

Circuit for Measuring inductance

REJECTION:Wrong part number,Wrong Make,Pins Rust Formation

CAPACITOR
 Capacitor opposes sudden changes in
Voltage
 Capacitor symbol is
 Capacitor Measured in farads(f)

Circuit: H.V Test

Lekage Test
FUSE
 Fuse is a Current protection Device
 Fuse symbol is
 It is used to protect circuits in all devices
when sudden increases in current.

 REJECTION:Wrong Item,Continuity fail

TRANSFORMER
Transformer is an electrical device which transfers
electrical power from one electrical circuit to
another electrical circuit without change of
frequency
It is highly efficient electrical device.
Types of transformers
1.step-up transformer
2.step-down transformer
Test parameters
1.Inductance
2.Resistance
REJECTION:Noise,Physical Damages,High Lekage
Inductance
CHARGER
 Charger is used for charging the batteries and run the Load
at the same time.
 Charger is an best Example for AC-DC converter.
 Samping For Charger is 100%
TEST CONDITIONS FOR CHARGER

Test Parameters:-

No Load:-Without any load.

Line Regulation:-Input voltage is Varried with max.load.

Load Regulation:-Load is varried at nominal input voltage.

EFFICIENCY (%) = OUTPUT POWER /INPUT POWER X 100

Out put power = Out put voltage X Out put current

Input power = Input voltage X Input current x P.F

 REJECTION:Not Getting on,Not supporting to Required total Current.
