Subordinating Conjunctions: C. M. R. T. & L. R. V

Subordinating conjunctions join dependent clauses to independent clauses and establish a relationship between the two clauses. This relationship can be one of cause, comparison, concession, condition, manner, place, purpose, result, or time. Conjunctive adverbs link ideas in a sentence or between sentences and can add extra information, indicate contrast, or show cause and effect. They can be placed at the beginning, middle, or end of a sentence.
