CLM for Dr. Juan F.

Pascual Memorial
School
This is a computerized module in Science Grade 6 for Dr. Juan F. Pascual
Memorial School a capstone project of Ms. Maria Camile SG. Dela Cruz. The main
purpose is to have a computerzed lesson that is interactive for the grade 6
student to enjoy learning.
It consist of ‘Lesson’, ‘Activity’, ‘Games’, and ‘Exam’
Lesson Panel

 It has a limited lessons ‘Solar System’,


‘Universe’, and ‘Stars and Constellations’ and
sub-topic about that lesson.
 More on text lacks picture.
 It has text, video and sound for a detailed lesson.
Activity Panel

 It has activities for the three lesson


 Arrangement of the planets
 Crossword puzzle
 Identify the name of the image
Game Panel

 It has games for the three lesson


 Planet hunt – it’s a galaxy picture and
you’ll find the the 8 planets
 Word Hunt – find words related to the topic
in a scribbled letters
 Puzzle Mania – Scribbled picture and you’ll
arrange it.
Exam Panel

 Once the exam button has been click,


automatically the right picture will show
up.
 We have in the middle part the exam itself
 In the left part the printing, the numbers
below the printing represents the exam
part
 Lastly, the right part is the exam topic
Analysis

 Overall this application will be enjoyable for the students that will use it but
there are things that needs patch up.
 The lesson part, is too crowded it the eyes. The text and subtopic beside it
contradicts each other because of the size of it. The information itself is
informative, but takes time to read (too long and not direct, the significant
words should be highlighted for students to remember) also it lacks picture,
we are all visual learner so it should include picture in it. The video resolution
is low and the sound used is not appropriate.
 In activity and game part, you’ll feel it’s Encarta like when using it but the
process after you play it, what happened next? It doesn’t record after also it
is free time to use, it doesn’t have timer.
 Exam part, its functionality lacks thought the exam paper itself is okay . The
position of the buttons doesn't suit where it is. It is only printable and you
can’t answer it in the application itself.
Recommendation
 Should have individual account and record of works.
 The automated voice should be changed that will be suitable for the user,
adjust the sound and each button sound shouldn't overlap each other. Remove
the left and right arrow (since it’s not working, don’t put additional function
that doesn’t work).
 The HOME button picture should be set aside from the topic. Solar System
picture should be highlighted or change into black and white to be known that
the user is in that current button.
 Use a header to the current page/slide/form. Name a topic that categorize
the theories. Highlight the theory that been click. Remove the lesson word
on the button side. Improve control sound.
 put the credits in the about form . Use a clearer background voice. Remove
the background picture and watermark, use the whole screen for clearer
viewing. Put a button for preview and fast-forward.
 highlight significant word/s. remove the lesson word in the buttons. Put a
header. Don't stretch the image.
Recommendation
 transfer the other topic into new form for easy access. This is to avoid the
crowdedness in the current lesson. Put a picture for visual aid
 In game/activity panel put the direction on top, have a header and
instruction. Have a scoring or timer, to know if the user answer it correctly
and notification when done.
 recommended to take the exam in the module itself. Add pictures in the
exam
 The printing should be on different position
 The number of exam pages should be on the exam paper itself for being
aware what page are they
 The exam lesson should b en different position and not overlapping the exam
paper.
