Flight 19 was a training
flight of US bombers that
went missing on December
5, 1945.

A search and rescue aircraft

sent to find them also got
lost.

It claimed the lives of 27

men: No survivors were
found and the five bombers
were never recovered.
Columbus's observations :
Around 1492 Columbus for the first time saw "strange
dancing lights on the horizon", flames in the sky and
bizarre compass bearings in the area now known as the
Bermuda Triangle.

 Theory Proposed

• The methane—normally frozen at great pressure as

gas hydrates embedded within subterranean rock are
the main reason for the mysterious events in the
Bermuda Triangle.
• When these rocks dislodge it transforms into gaseous
bubbles expanding geometrically as they explode
upwards.
Any ships caught within the methane mega-bubble (also
called mud volcanoes) may produce regions of frothy water
that are no longer capable of providing
adequate buoyancy for ships. Immediately lose all buoyancy
and sink to the bottom of the ocean.
 Theory Proposed
Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their
engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and
immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving
into the ocean and swiftly plummeting to the sea bottom.

In most cases little or no wreckage would be found by

searchers.
when the methane bubbles rise they cause a
lot of variations in the electromagnetic fields
in the area.

This explains all the magnetic variations in

the Bermuda Triangle.
