Bhit Field Optimization

1. Eni intends to optimize the Bhit gas field by installing compressors at Bhit-07 and Bhit-05 to increase production and operate the raw gas header at a lower pressure. 2. Modifications include laying 2.5km of new flowline and removing three nodal compressors to lower operating costs. 3. At Badhra, Eni plans to relocate compressors to increase production, including moving a compressor to Badhra-10 and a booster compressor 4km to the Badhra-09 rig camp due to liquid accumulation issues in the Badhra-09 flowline.

BADHRA COMPRESSION STUDY (PROPOSED MODIFICATION)

 In order to increase production from Badhra wellheads Eni Pakistan intends to relocate 1.9 MW wellhead
compressor to Badhra 10 wellhead premises.

 A crossover between Badhra 16-inch and 10-inch flowlines is also propose to divert flow from 10-inch
flowline to 16-inch flowline, in order to decrease pressure drops in 10-inch flowline.

 Badhra – 09 flowline terrain is prone to liquid acumulation which results in production decline and high
line pressure drop. Moreover, declining Badhra – 09 FWHP will make it impossible to flow via Badhra – 10
wellhead compressor. Flowline terrain is also shown in slide 8, while Badhra – 09 flowline parameters are
shown in slide 9.

 To handle this problem Eni intends to relocate booster compressor at badhra – 09 rig camp area located
at a distance of ~4km from Badhra – 09 wellhead.

 By converting NRU to HCDPU following challenges need to be addressed:

1. Detailed evaluation of dehydration inlet gas cooler (propane chiller) will be required at post NRU modification
conditions.

2. Possible scenario of changing propane chiller bundle compatible for CO2 service.
3. Detailed evaluation of Mole Sieves Dehydration Unit, particularly for regeneration section that handle CO2
containing gas at high temperatures.

4. GCV / Wobbe Index of Sales gas at post NRU modification scenario.

14
BHIT PLANT OPTIMIZATION (OPTION – 2)
Modification in any one train of Bhit plant includes:

1. Due to decreasing raw gas flowrate, any one train will be completely shutdown with exception of propane chiller
and propane refrigeration system.

2. Propane chiller is currently installed at upstream of above mentioned train, will be relocated at upstream of train –
3 to control hydrocarbon dew point of gas as shown in next slide.
