JCR Capabilities
Provides:
• Depiction and location of friendly forces equipped with JCRs
• Depiction and location of reported threats, obstacles, and other known
battlefield hazards; (Spot & Obstacle Reports)
• Visual Indicators for friendly convoys and units.
• Visual and audible Warnings for reported battlefield hazards.
• Visual and audible Alerts for messages and tasks.
• Scaleable types of maps & imagery.

• Friendly Platform’s Self Descriptive Situational Awareness (SDSA)
which is similar to a LACE report.
• “Steer-to” navigation capabilities.
• Ability to locally and remotely destroy systems in the event of overrun
or compromise. (need transceiver SN to remotely destroy)
• Uses satellite communication to avoid line of sight limitations.
JCR Limitations
Restrictions due to Network capabilities:
• Friendly forces (Blue SA) is only near real time. Expect some delay.
(Position Reports)
• All other SA must be manually reported; (any known type of battlefield activity,
threat, condition, hazard, etc.). (Spot & Obstacle Reports)
• Recommended Message size: BFT-2 network is 2048 bytes.
Oversized messages may:
Fail to send or send incomplete message.
Attachments may be unusable.
Potential to slow down the network.
