MACHINE
Sewing Machine
A machine with a mechanically driven needle for
sewing or stitching cloth.

Parts the front sewing machine and their function

1.Tread tension dial – is to loosen or tight the


thread when we are sewing
2.Tread take lever – it pulls the threads from spool
to feed it through the machine and lifts the thread
back up out of the cloth after a stitch has been
made.
3. Tread cutter – use to cut thread when we are sewing.
4. Presser food - its to hold the fabric flat as it is fed
through the machine and stitched.
5. Needle plate - its to cover the bobbin area of
the machine.
6. Accessory storage – to store all the accessory .
7.Pattern select dial – to choose the pattern that we want
to use when we are sewing .
8.Bobbin winding stopper – to stop the winding when the
bobbin is full.
9. Reverse sewing lever- to secure at the beginning and
end seams or allow you to stitches reverse.
Parts of the back sewing machine and
their function

1. Thread guide – a wire device for guiding the thread to


the spindle.
2. Bobbin winder spindle – its to winde the bobbin.
3. Spool pin – hold the thread when sewing.
4. Hand wheel – to lift up the needle and put it in the
material.
5. Power and light switch – give the light
6. Main plug socket – to connect the machine to the power
7. Bobbin thread guide – a wire device for guiding the
thread to the bobbin winder spindle.
8.Handle - to carry up the machine.
9. Face plate – a cover which on removal gives access to
the oiling point on the needle bar.
10. Presser foot lifter – to lift up and press down the
presser food.
11. Foot speed control – to press our feet when sewing
12.Power cord – connected to the electricity and machine before sewing.
