Radiography Permit

The Radiography Permit procedure ensures that radiography jobs involving radioactive sources are properly authorized and safety precautions are followed. It requires permits for routine and non-routine radiography to make supervisors and workers aware of hazards. Permits must be obtained from the originating authority and accepted by authorized users, with contractors signing as performers. Radiography is then carried out according to permit precautions within a controlled area using barriers, signs and standby personnel to minimize exposures.
